some of the bigger frontosa have pinch belly pretty bad... whats going on with that
@jungmanjba

This is due to mineral deficiency. People focus on PH and KH, but forget GH, which on Lake Malawi is much lower than on Lake Tanganyka

They seem so calm...... How do you keep them from Freaking out ? I have six in a 6ft long 150 gallon with 2 Moorii dolphins. My Frontosa freaks out when I walk up to feed them. 😞

Try hand feeding them. Mine are calm cuz the big one is mom and the rest is all her babies so I know these fish since they were a fertilized egg jeje :)

@@AquazoneQC ok..... I'll try that!! .... Thank you. (I had four of them since 2/3 inches. They're 6 inch now & the other 2 Fronts are new & about 2/3 inches 😎). Someone told me to not put so many caves & hiding spots in like i have because it keeps them skittish. I'll try both methods.

Wow, just beautiful!! You got a point on their tank size and growth, go big in the beginning cause it'll save you in the long run. If not there's always the poor mans Frontosa aka Neolamprologus tretocephalus with the same look but not as large.

I litterally have best luck with growth by growing them out in different size tanks as they grow...lol. I also noticed long ago that shy fish in particular like Fronts become much more social and less fearful much faster if you bump them up in tank size as they grow.
