I stopped in Charlton at the end of an RV trip with my family in early 2023 and picked up three cases of assorted goodies to bring home to PA. I accidentally left two cans of Very Pink in the RV fridge when I returned home and discovered them a couple weeks later. The fridge was off and the weather was warm so these two cans felt hot to the touch when I found them. Not to waste any Treehouse, I popped them in my home fridge so I could try them out side by side with some cans that didn’t suffer the same fate. To my surprise they tasted just as good as the cold cans! I suspect this has something to do with the care taken at the brewery to minimize contained oxygen. Well done, guys!

That was great information, thanks Nate. Years ago...in a galaxy...sorry. I made a batch of Bock beer, first time I'd made one, it was horrible one month out so I stopped drinking it. A year later I tried another one and it was marvelous. I was so happy that I hadn't thrown the whole thig out. So I drank the rest of the 2 cases slowly over another 6 months. I lived happily ever after.

It's great to hear that I'm not crazy in thinking that IPAs taste better after sitting in my fridge for a few weeks. It's hard to wait that long sometimes, but the last can of my Very HHHazyyy I had recently that had been in my fridge for 3-4 weeks was so so so good. Better than when it was "fresh". Thanks for the great content (and beer)!

Hello Nate. Thank you for the great information. I'm enjoying many IPA'S and spirits. Love the Caddie Cooler! Will the sours last in the fridge as well?
@treehousebrewco

Thank you. I am not sure what you mean by sours, my apologies. If you are referring to mixed fermentation beer with acidity I do not recommend storing them in the fridge.

I've found cans out Julius/Haze that was hid away in the beer fridge that were 9+ months old. Since they were kept refrigerated the entire time, they were perfectly drinkable. Sure they weren't a 3 week old can, and seeing that date would give Nate a sad face, but it was much more enjoyable than a 1 month beer old from distro that spent most of that month warm.

Glad to hear it. Some beers are extremely hearty, especially Green. The Bright series can hold up legitimately well cold for a year, but we can't recommend this.

Nate I have a 750 ML of triple shot that was filled February 4th 2016 in monson. I have never opened this bottle and it has been cold since the day I bought it. It has never been warm once. After watching this video I am now wondering how the flavor profile has changed since filling.
@treehousebrewco

It has probably degraded quite a bit. Storing cold will simply slow degradation, not eliminate it. That said I have had several bottles of very old Double / Triple Shot and they are always quite nice. Chocolate syrupy.

lame info. Beer doesnt have to remain cold. It just doesnt like temperature extremes. PSA: most beer warehouses are at room temp. Insider info.
