Same goes for me, recently used up my Iphone 11 with data-on with hotspot on and it reduces my battery health from 100% down to 99%, I never used that way anymore and I retained the 99% till now. That was my biggest mistake Ive done early around this year. But one thing I've read about the comment is I also used to turn on low power mode. I also charge my phone from 30% to 100% in normal/cool room temperature. Not chraging during hot noon daytime. Using 20W original Iphone charger.

Best advice is that never let your phone die or keep it at 100% If u do that you'll complete one battery cycle All lithium ion batteries have charge cycle Your phone's battery will degrade with age no matter what But atleast this way u can hold on it for a while

For those who are in North America and expecting to upgrade or change the device every 2-3 years, I would say it is safe to use the phone anyway you like because by the time the battery health is going down, you will be replacing the phone. Make sure you charge to 100% as that completes a full charge cycle, charging only to 80 means the full battery isn’t being used so when you constantly charge only to a certain capacity, you begin to damage that 80%, leaving 20% unattended to. Tried my best not to complicate it there.

Tips to let your battery stay healthy for longer: - do not fully charge to 100% and do not drain to 0%. Lithium-Ion batteries in phones nowadays have no memory effect. - try to leave the phone alone when charging. It generates less heat. - use high quality charging equipment. Cheaper ones tend to harm your battery.

I’ve had mine for 7 months, still 100%, and I use my phone a lot. During the day I try to keep it between 40-80%, and try to keep it from getting hot. I don’t use clean energy charging tho.

Just abuse it and never mind the battery health. You can always bring powerbank for extra juice, and replace your battery after 2+ years. If you can afford an iphone, i think you should be able to replace the battery.

Disliked. No mention of the type of charging used, wattage etc. Most of us are interested in knowing whether 15W MagSafe vs 20W USB-C fast charging overnight is better or worse for the battery health.

My iPhone 14 Pro still 100%. I do not close all apps in background, told not too many times, Regarding climate, it's been with me to Thailand 4 times with me from UK now, so climate not a problem. The only thing I won't do is leave it in the direct sunlight, I don't do is I don't let it completely drain, nor do I charge it over night, I have sleep mode anyway,so it powers down. That's me & pre ordered my phone so got on release day.

It is simply not possible to have 100% battery on a phone after months and tens, or hundreds, of charging cycles. Don’t stare at the percentage, just use your phone 😁

So do you think using MagSafe heats up the phone too much that it degrades the battery? Or is that okay? I usually just put my iphone on a magsafe charger and leave it there overnight.

My iphone 13 pro battery dropped to 96% in 8 months. I do not let the charge to drop too much, before charging and I never leave it to charge past 100%. I also use slow charging as well as turn on optimised charging. Not sure why it dropped down so quickly.

Slow charging actually kills. I now use a 65W charger which never heats up the phone. The iPhone 20w charger did heat up the phone. I have now moved to Amazon basics 65w and it is great and battery % not dropping any more.

It's a stupid discussion. Battery health is dropping as you complete more charge cycles. Now Nick's battery health is still showing 100% but if this is his primary phone, he must be charging it everyday or 2. So even for some people who use it like he does and follow all the habits, theirs will drop a percent or 2 after 5-6 months. That's completely normal. Now in Nick's case, when his battery health will drop it's gonna directly drop 3 to 4 % within days. It's just some phones show the actual battery health while some don't. I have a 14 pro max which I bought in January, & believe me I follow all the habits & more. Till now I never let my phone drop to 25% or low. Mine just dropped to 99% last night.
