Values: Example of Knowing When Enough Is Enough: Health + Wellness
When we realized health + wellness dominated our focus: we stopped to ask:
👉What are our goals in this department?
⭐️Sheena’s was to have energy and feel, overall, good in her skin and body. A feeling of good health so she could live life and do stuff. To no longer feel sick or stuck.
It wasn’t about a specific weight number, body fat percentage, or a body composition look. It’s a feeling.
She’s reached her goal (she still gets occasional autoimmune flare-ups but they’re now manageable and infrequent).
She’s reached her enough, so she’s no longer fixated on it.
Her health and wellness is still an important goal that she’ll continue to work on, but it’s no longer front and center, taking up most of her mental real estate. It’s a constant in the background. It’s support.
⭐️For Kyle: also to feel good in his body, but it’s more specific.
It’s to no longer be skinny fat and actually get to a lower body fat percentage and gain muscle mass.
His goal is more of a body composition goal, but not for the aesthetics.
He’s never been able to achieve this goal and it’ll be a true win for him to get there (showing that he’s overcome a lot of past trauma, triggers, and bad habits. Plus, it’s a healthier state.
👉We’re constantly thinking about our “enough” in all avenues of our life.
