Ma’am, you did not lose 40 pounds in two months. The math just does not add up. To lose 1 pound you need a calorie deficit of 3500. To lose 40, you need a deficit of 140,000 calories. If you had to spread that deficit over two months (60 days), that would imply a deficit of 2333 calories a day. That’s 800 more calories than you even claimed to consume, Miss.

When I lost 50lb in 3 months I owned a work out BILBLE AND the most Important lesson and phrase.It kept repeating was this is a" lifestyle change" , not a diet! And dieting is temporary I'm changing your eating Habit and what you eat is permanent... It was a very good motivational speach especially doing it alone & had grow up being a fast food microwave baby.

so i’ve recently started a weight loss journey. my starting weight is 238 and i’m down 10 pounds already. i am 5’4 and 12 years old and now i am 228. my goal is to be 200 to 195 pounds by june. and my overall goal is to be around 150-170 pounds! my mom is helping me choose my meals and my step dad helps me with exercise. i’m so excited to continue.

Hey all you younger folks, please just remember to be kind and patient with your bodies. Don't fixate so much on the number of your weight and how much to lose but rather focus on the health aspect of just eating better and exercising. When you get into the flow the weight will come right off. Just be careful not to do unhealthy things like starving yourself... and remember although your health is the goal, you are amazing and beautiful no matter what size. Best of luck and much love

I am 62 and 180 lbs. I just started walking 10,000 steps per day (which takes 100 minutes) and I am doing low carb (not no carb), drinking more water and writing down everything I eat. I used to weight 130 lbs in the Army and I felt my best. I think I can do it again. I am on day 3 and am losing 1lb per day so far. I will let you know.

Not sure if anyone has posted this already: Tip: 1. Know your body and listen to it 2. Use a calorie counter app to stay in calorie deficit (like my fitness pal) 3. Give up meat and dairy for a month 4. Fast 5. Portion control 6. Limit sugar intake 7. Drink water! 8. Consider replacing one meal for a shake This video is long but it is worth a listen. Lots of great tips and details not listed here. I would also add that exercise is important. If you happen to go over your calories, you can exercise to get back to your calorie deficit. MyFitnessPal also keeps track of your exercise when you sync certain apps to it.

@@fbifrank38 2 MONTHS. Still fast, but it really depends on the person. Some of my clients who have never dieted or exercised in their life, lose quickly once they make changes. Others it’s slow-going no matter what. Metabolism, history, everyone certainly is different. I always say that even one tiny change in the right direction is a good change!

I was the same but intermittent fasting really helped me from bingeing or eating just because i was bored. I am currently doing IF from 5pm-12pm. I try to fast for around 18-19 hours but I think 16 hours is fine. I lost 60 pounds over 9 months by exercising and being in a calorie deficit and I lost 15 pounds doing IF with no exercise and being in a calorie deficit (75 lbs total).

@serrita watkins Start carb counting. Look on the back of labels or Google it. Say 30 carbs is your goal. Add up all carbs from the serving size your eating and subtract fiber and alcohol sugars.

I’m watching this with tears in my eyes because FINALLY someone has made it SO SIMPLE!! I never had to try to lose weight, but after getting up to 200 lbs while pregnant with my twins, it has been a struggle. I weigh almost as much as I did while pregnant and they are 13 now. 4’9” and 200 lbs do NOT go together. I'm convinced we can control our bodies better and after listening to your video I'm convinced. I did lose 8lbs when I got sick in October, but gained it all back. at 5'2" I remember weighing 145lbs at 9 months pregnant with both of my kids, now I weigh 170! I have learned to drink some water and then see if I still have a craving...and I keep water EVERYWHERE...purse...car...bedroom...desk...a bottle in the bathroom It's the 1st thing I try and remember to drink when I 1st wakeup

When this young lady said 230 pounds I started crying, because that's exactly what I weigh, and our shapes are so similar. Sometimes I'll just start crying, going to the bathroom is sporadic, my skin is not as clear as it should be,, and my energy level stinks.. Thank you. I was supposed to see this video.

@@apriljohnson7447 it is true. Someone who starts at 235 losing 40 pounds in 2 months is either lying or did it unhealthy. How do I know? Because I weigh more than her currently and at the lowest medically recommended caloric intake of 1200 a day, I only lose slightly over 2lbs a week. She is claiming to lose at least 5lbs a week which is insanity. Sure, you could argue that it is possible with exercise, but she is claiming she done it without exercise. People who know nothing about weight loss need to stick to viewing and not commenting. 🤫

I love the continuous emphasis on eating whatever you want in moderation. As someone who is studying nutrition that is one of the first things I’ve learned. You don’t have to give up the food you love, just have to do it the proper way and balance it out with every else you’re doing. Great video!

@BeccaRan4 Could you please give me any advice on how I can get myself to get the sleep I need? I have insomnia. I have so much trouble getting sleep that I feel my body breaking down. @@melanies1856 Don’t use any electronic devices before bed. Turn them off atleast an hour before you close your eyes. Try meditation. It also helps to exhaust yourself through the day. Workout or go for very long walks, just make sure you feel the fatigue kick in in the evening. That’s when you know you‘ve actually tired your body out (which is a good thing). Also, Food plays a huge part. Sugar and caffeine are the worst when it comes to sleeping so limit those or cut them out complete for a certain amount of time. I once did the 10 day smoothie detox cleanse by JJ Smith and let me tell you, I‘ve had issues with sleeping through the night my whole life and by day four of the cleanse I was sleeping like a baby. Woke up feeling so refreshed.

Today is December 13, 2021. I stepped on the scale this morning my weight slapped me in the face, stomach, and inner thighs. The scale said 183.6. @@CutenClassy83 sugar free bread? It may not have "sugar" as an ingredient but it is still sugar in it. Bread is carbs and that converts to sugar. Anything with "-ose" is a version of sugar. Example; when I make homemade biscuits, I dont use sugar, but they are still regular-degular biscuits. Sadly, "Sugar Free" bread is a marketing gimmick. They really should be ashamed

I believe I learned this information when I got my BS in Biology, my MS in Biological Science, and while finishing up my BS in Biomedical Science. Yeah I'm well aware of exactly what carbohydrates do. I'm also aware that your body actually needs a decent amount of carbs to function properly. You do know that those carbs turn into the glucose that your body needs to go through cellular respiration to convert into ATP with your cells needs to function properly. Now in regards to the sugar free bread I mentioned, yes it does have carbs in it. I NEVER said it was zero carb bread. See that's where reading AND comprehension are important. Now with that being said, if I want to eat bread, I'd prefer to eat the one with low carbs and no added sugar than one that has a ton of sugar in it. But once again, thanks for trying to correct me. its even harder for diabetics because of insulin resistance prevents their body from getting into the fat burning state. for anyone to lose weight, blood sugar levels have to be under 100 mg/dL---consistently. thats just science. that is how ketosis kicks in.

From one nurse to another...thank you. I have gained about 50 lbs over the last several years. I will be 60 next month (been a nurse for 30 years) and am just in a bad place. I don't ever feel good anymore, eat sweets, fast food and don't exercise anymore. Really have just lost myself. Sick and tired of being sick and tired. Looking for ideas and really, some inspiration...I found you. I enjoyed listening to all your ideas and straight talk. I am about to go in my kitchen and throw away the cake and fast food I bought today. I am really going to try so hard to do this. I need it so much... for my health, mental health and all of the above. I need to get back to being me, the better version of me. I take care of everyone around me, but not myself. Good job, girl. I just checked my situation, and I'm 100 pounds over what I should have. I'm frustrated,mad, and scared. I had a back surgery 7 months ago. I should be better, I'm not. This is so true! You don't have to starve yourself or eat tasteless foods in order to lose weight. A big thing that a lot of people need to stay away from is FAST FOOD. Once I stopped eating fast food all the time I automatically started losing weight. Also, eating more veggies, fruit, and drinking more water really helps you lose weight too(obviously), and you don't have to be too strict on yourself either, if you want to eat some junk then eat it (it's all about balance). The best thing that you can do is to just start listening to your body!

Yes it’s definitely the sugar for me , anytime I stop eating carbs and different types of sweets I automatically get a headache .. and within the first 7 days I have lost 10-lbs
Sugar definitely effects me in the weight department!! My downfall is I have to have it in coffee but I’m going to transition to something else HOT in the mornings
