Faith Joy....... loofah is also called angle gourd. Go to Google search "picture of angle gourd.". Wa laaa... You need to peel n cut like Cooking Ah Pa does When you choose whole angle gourd, hold it firmly n press gently with your thumb, the ones you feel not too hard/slightly soft mean young/sweeter/less seeds

It looks like luffa is very hard to find in the U.S. I only find the seeds for sale.

Go to a local asian market. Almost 100% chance you will find them there. Not a western super market. Google search "asian market near me" to find one.
