How To Make Chicken Parmesan / Easy Italian
Chicken Parmesan recipe -
Ingredients:
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 4 cutlets
Salt and Pepper
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 cup olive oil
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese + 4 tablespoons
Marinara sauce
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs together with a pinch of salt and pepper. In a separate bowl, combine the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. And lastly, in the third bowl, combine the Italian bread crumbs, panko bread crumbs, and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese.
Dredge the chicken cutlet in flour, and then egg mixture, and lastly in the bread crumbs.
Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken cutlets and cook until golden brown on both sides (approximately 4 minutes per side).
Transfer to a baking sheet and top with marinara sauce, a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella, and a tablespoon of parmesan cheese. Place in the oven and bake for 15 - 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese has melted. Garnish with chopped parsley.
