OK I understand that it is a substitute for all purpose flour as I have never used it in cooking before does it have the same texture or is it a bit course, have you every tried it to make pasta?
@hasbethperez5598
3 жыл бұрын
I think that it works more like in cakes or pan cakes, but it does not contain gluten so you can no make a Doug out of it, un less you use half cheek pea flour and half all purpose

Have you tried sprouting the chickpeas before drying and grinding them? If so, what was the result? What would happen if you ground the soaked chickpeas instead of drying it first, so it's like a nut butter? Would that make much of a difference with the recipe?

Canned chickpeas are cooked and therefore cannot be used for flour again. They have been denatured. Unless you have canned chickpeas that are not cooked.

I actually sun-dried mine for 2 days. You can set the oven to 102 degree Celsius and dry it for 2 hours while intermittently opening the oven to expel the moisture content.

@OnyxFoodHill

Soaking the beans removes phytic acid in it. Phytic acid binds nutrients and makes it unavailable for the body. Soaking it gets rid of phytic acid
