Rice was the first thing that I learned to cook, and the only thing that I cooked for a very long time. My mom taught me this recipe when I was in my early teens and I’ve had it memorized since. It might take a little practice to get the preferred texture, but once you’ve got it down it is super easy to make. Like any dish, there are so many ways to make Mexican rice. After trying several recipes, I always come back to this one because it’s simple, delicious, and I always have the ingredients on hand.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 roma tomato
- 1/8 white onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon
- ¼ tsp cumin (optional)
- ¼ tsp oregano (optional)
