Birds are not very common in scale model representations, but they do transform a scene dramatically if done right. In this tutorial I intend to demonstrate my methods of creating flying model birds at literally NO COST. The method should be within the grasps of any average modeler and can be used for any mid-size scales like 1:72 or 1:76 for dioramas, and OO or HO for model trains. Yes, you can improvise to do this for N scale, but few details will change, and I intend to make another video when I move back to my N Scale model train layout.
List of material:
1. 75 GSM artist water color paper
2. White modeling clay / paper mache
3. Acrylic paints: Grey, Black and White
4. Acrylic matte medium
5. Tap water
6. Optional: Red paint (acrylic or enamel)
List of tools:
1. Hobby knife
2. Artist palette knife
3. toothpick
4. A pair of tweezers
5. Size 0 flat/bright brush - hard bristle
6. Size 0000 round brush (basically the smallest brush that you can source)
7. Optional: Head or table mounted magnifying device
