The GIF format has a built-in loop counter. So the file doesn’t get bigger if you choose to loop it for example 5x. It just replays the same single loop 5 times and then stops. If you’re streaming at 30 fps then I’d recommend to keep the fps also at 30. Those additional frames will be cut anyway.

Hi Scott! Your videos have helped me get almost up and running, but I need more animations/videos/movement in my scenes to bring it up a notch or ten. Are there any methods for having video/gifs "on deck" that you can play, and possibly even quickly choose where on the screen they happen? Sort of like a soundboard but for visuals (with sound)... Streamelements seems to be more for triggered effects. I'm talking more "when/where I choose", if that makes sense. Any insights or methods? I *just* downloaded Lioranboard, as this seemed like the most likely option, but so far, the videos I've seen haven't shown a method for what I'm talking about, but I'm just scratching the surface on this. There is a program that works with OBS called streamer bot (it's like lioranboard). It might be able to do what you'd like. I know it can do voice control, do stuff based on channel points in twitch, commands, etc. From turning on filters and doing effects and shutting them off after so long. You just have to setup some of the basics in OBS and then setup the controls for it in the program. But I don't know it super well yet. It'd be pretty cool to see Scott perhaps do a tutorial on it.

Could this be used in Shotcut as well? Edit: What size to make this? How many pixels to fill a page, or to make it half size or so. I have my spinning cube ready to go; I just don't know what size to make that pixel thingy.
@ScottFichter
2 жыл бұрын
D.A. are you asking if you can show or hide this graphic with a Hotkey? YEP!!!! Also, you have the ability to scale up to 2,000 pixels. This means you are in good shape for large resolutions like 1080p. If you graphic squares (used for each face) are say 500px wide and tall then the output size should be a tiny bit bigger. I dunno 550px. If you make the size smaller than the square faces then it will crop the box which looks like crap
@D.A.Hanks14
2 жыл бұрын
@@ScottFichter I was asking if I could use it with Shotcut instead of the software you use, so I'm thinking yes? The big question though, was the pixel sizing. I don't know anything about that, so if I wanted say, a postage stamp sized icon spinning in the corner during my intro, or during the entire video, that would be how many pixels? Thank you for any info/suggestions in helping me figure this out. 🙂
@ScottFichter
2 жыл бұрын
@@D.A.Hanks14 DA the size will be in relation to the graphic you use. If you use 50x50px graphics it'll be small. Hint: if you plan to use the animation in OBS go big. A bigger version can always be reduced in size in the preview window. If you have a tiny version built going bigger will make the graphic super fuzzy.
