It's always those Asian recipes that seem so easy and appetizing that you also crave for, and once you get your hands on a recipe, there HAS to be this ONE crazy exotic ingredient that you can't find anywhere, like some powder from a Nepalese boar's tusk
I like your traditional coconut grater coz that's what my grandpa used when i was a small girl back in my home country the Philippines :) Many people still use it back home.

Do you have to use shredded coconut or can you use something else instead? Just looked in my pantry and I'm out of it, would appreciate an answer. :)
I have eaten some fried banana that has a thick sticky texture, almost like mochi. Would u know what it's made of?

Sis, I'm pretty sure it's glutinous rice flour. I use that in my fried bananas.

Hi Rin, love the red lime paste trick however my flour doesn't stick to the potato/banana when I fried them. The flour coating starts to swim loose when it's fried:( I'm determine to figure out why. Any ideas of what I've wrong? I followed your recipe to the T.

Sawadee kup! Thank you for sharing this recipe. This recipe is similar to our dish in the Philippines called "Maruya" fried Banana Fritters. But this one looks better and delicious. I remember visited Bangkok last 2012 and I tried this in street vendor. But surprisingly it is so delicious! AH ROI!!!! Khob khun kup ^_^

No, you can't because like she mentioned in the video, the red lime helps the batter to be crunchy and crispy.

What nonsense. I go to Thailand often for the last 30 years. Just need banana fried in flour. You don’t need any sugar or anything like that because the banana is so tasty especially when it’s fried in batter.
