I have a busy job and kids, so time is very limited. One thing that I have found that helps is to cycle focus. I do this by having a monthly “theme”. During any month, I try to do the bare minimum on most projects to keep them going, but I go all in on one thing, spending most of my little free time on it. I find that more effective than throughout the year splitting time evenly between everything.
@nikoletahanakova8573

That makes sense. The sense of accomplishment when you finish one thing will motivate you to do the next thing. Doing a little bit on everything can feel like working all the time without much noticable progress.

My time is not consistent everyday. Every other day some commitment comes in the way and I lose my structure for the day I planned. Even if I plan my day, I dont find the mood or interest to do the planned activity at the planned time. On the other hand, I could do something over a stretch of a week or two continuously while procrastinating other things.

Theoretically even if you had nothing going on, you could fill every hour with those things and say you still have no time. Plenty of people have those things and still have perfectly productive weeks, you often just have to get creative depending on what your goals are

This is fairly standard advice. Most of these are about how you need to cut certain things out because you can't do everything. I get it, and mostly agree, however, there's always that little thing that says "hey maybe this person has figured it out, maybe they have some sort of scheduling ideas that would make it possible to do x amount of things." Sadly I haven't found that person yet, so I guess I'll keep searching.

Maybe that "little thing" is procrastination. It might not be what you want to hear but there's no secret to doing it all. We just have to cut things out and shift with the seasons.
@Uhfgood
2 ай бұрын
@@brandmarz - procrastination can be a reason, you can't get stuff done. But I'm talking about cutting out things you really want to get done. Most of this kind of advice, is more along the lines of if it's not super urgent, then you should cut it. I happen to want to do several things that I don't wish to cut out. In any case thanks for the reply.
@sruthi195
2 ай бұрын
@@Uhfgood If I may offer my two cents... The reason cutting things out is emphasized is because the truth of the matter is that you can't dedicate quality time and make significant progress in too many areas at once. It doesn't mean you have to sacrifice those pursuits forever but it just means to prioritize whatever would have the most positive value in your life at the time, and once you've reached a certain level of progress with it and it becomes more of a muscle memory or something you just need to maintain, you could bring in one of the other things you want to do and repeat the cycle again. I believe that there are only so many things we can do at a time before we spread ourselves too thin and end up half-assing everything.
@Uhfgood
2 ай бұрын
@@sruthi195 - I understand. But using some hacks, tips, or tricks, I think it may still be possible. I guess I just don't like the idea of people telling other people something's impossible.

Great question! I have simply used Google Calendar in the week view to keep track of my time analysis. I will usually make a new calendar (under "Other Calendars") to keep my time analysis separate from the weekly operating calendar. If you currently use some sort of digital system to keep track of your appointments/life, I'd recommend adapting the same tool to your needs. Everyone has their own preferences on this. Hope this is helpful!

All great points! I like that "different versions of an ideal day" concept. I also didn't mention, but I'm a firm believer in having at least one "do nothing" day a week to properly rest. No errands, no house projects, I don't even cook if I can help it. Just rest.

I am 21 and I am in a coding course but I want to get into videography and video editing, idk, it is expensive out here so I am not sure if videography makes that much, it is more of a side hustle
@Nick.Houchin
2 ай бұрын
I feel that! I just left the traditional film industry after 6 years. Generally what I found: the really fulfilling work usually doesn't pay very much. The corporate stuff pays well, but it's often somewhat mind-numbing. Like any other industry, it's much more about who you know, or who you get to know than anything else. You also need to be great to work with. For most people I've seen it take about 3 years for it to go from a side hustle to a full-time thing, and that's if they are putting in the work and promoting themselves. Many of them still keep multiple streams of income from flexible gigs, or restaurant jobs etc. Video stuff is also very seasonal (at least in the US.) The summers are absolutely packed with client projects, but mid December through March are absolutely dead. Hope this is helpful!

It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. You don’t have to act on every forecast, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.
