If this makes it more confusing, disregard what I’m saying. But the way this works is 1.23 * 3.2 is the same thing as 123*10^-2 * 32*10^-1 which is the same thing as 123 * 32 * 10^-3. The 10^-2 * 10^-1 giving you 10^-3 is why you can count the number of digits past the decimals from the numbers being multiplied and add them to get the number of digits past the decimal in the answer. A refresher on exponents, 10^2 = 100 and 10^-2 = 1/100

Please tell how to represent a mixed fraction on a number line please upload a video on it asap
@carultch
Жыл бұрын
Find the whole number on the number line. Then divide the distance equally to the next whole number, by the denominator. Then count the number of divisions equal to the numerator. For instance, suppose your number line were set up, such that every 2 centimeters, you marked 1 unit. If you were trying to locate the mixed number 2 3/4, you'd first find 2, which would be 4 cm from the origin. Then you'd take the next two cm, and cut it in 4 equal lengths of 5 mm. 3 of these quarter unit lengths, would be 15 mm. So you'd locate the number 2 3/4 at a distance of 55 mm or 5.5 cm from the origin.

How to find the product by changing the position of the decimal point ?? Plzz make a video of these 👆👆
@carultch
9 ай бұрын
Each decimal point left-shift from the right side of the far right digit, implies division by 10. So 1.23, is 123/10, and divided by 10 again. Count the number of implied "divide by 10" factors off to the side, and pretend they weren't there in the first place. Then, once you multiply 123 by 32, and get 3936, come back and shift the decimal. We counted 3 implied divisions by 10 between the two given numbers. Thus, we divide by 10 three times. I.e. shift the decimal place left, by 3 digits.
