Thanks so much for joining me for Episode 2 of my how to play barre chords series! 🥰 People often don't think about separating barre chord shapes into smaller sections when they try to practice them, but it can make all the difference in getting them to sound clean and being able to form them quickly! 🙌Hopefully the tips and exercises offered in this video help you with a place to start, and remember - you CAN totally do it!! 💪 Shout out to Zager guitars for sending me their ZAD80 model to feature in this series. 🙏 If you'd like to check them out, make sure to use my link here: shrsl.com/4dsi2 and thanks again for watching! 💕

Hi Ellen, would you mind to do some of my guitar tutorials like Ronan Keating When You Say Nothing At All and please make sure that you have everything the same way as Ronan Keating like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns. Also could you do some Garth Brooks songs like The River, If Tomorrow Never Comes, The Dance also please make sure that you have everything the same way as Garth Brooks. Also could you do some Lady Gaga’s songs like Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright, I’ll Never Love Again, Million Reasons and try and re do Shallow, also please make sure that you have everything the same way as Lady Gaga. Also please find out how many times do we strum/fingerpick each chords for all sections of the songs.

How about playing open A with one finger instead of three and then the related bar chords with two fingers?
@for3v3rfaithful
Ай бұрын
You could definitely do that as well! 🙌 Although I'd say it's a lot less common. 🤔 But I'm an advocate for finding finger positions that work best for each player so whichever fretting position you think is easiest or feels most comfortable is the one I think you should go with. 🤗

@@for3v3rfaithful its definitely hard when you start out. Getting three string with one finger and still allowing the high e string to resonate is difficult. But like all chords, practice and time will eventually allow you get them effortlessly by muscle memory. I encourage everyone to keep at it and be patient!

how to do F chord? do i need to press all the six string using my index finger? but why some only press the 6th string (Low E), 2nd string (B), and 1st string (high E). is it still the same?
@Steveenee

like the Gm, do I need to press all the 6 string (3rd fret) using my index finger or the only string I need to press is the 6th and 1st string?
@for3v3rfaithful
3 ай бұрын
You technically only need to press down on the strings that your other fingers aren't covering with your barre finger. So for example with the barred F chord, your index only has to press down on the low E, B and high e strings. 👍 But building up the strength of your index finger isn't a bad idea so you can apply it to any barre shape in the future! 🤗
