The Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Workflow allows you to import either CAD geometries or surface and volume meshes using the “Import Geometry” task. In this lesson, our focus will be on CAD geometry import, and we will learn how to prepare these geometries before successfully importing them into the watertight workflow. This lesson will highlight features such as the “Check Geometry,” “Fluid Volume Extraction,” “Share Topology,” and the creation of “Groups” or “Named Selections” in Ansys Discovery. The discussion presented here will improve the overall readiness of your CAD model before the meshing process.
