I'll try and make a fairly educated guess however I could be totally wrong. It looks and sounds like the Colossus 3/4 nap by Purdy (comes in all sorts of sizes). Also for anyone interested about the technique - in England it's called the Multi trader special when he single handedly built your extension for half the price and only 2 months late.

For the MESS they made in my home I would not give any money until job is complete. So now I am watching videos to learn how to paint my house. He is pressing the roller against the wall super hard to squeeze all the paint out of it. This is a terrible excuse for painting and should not be viewed as a tutorial. In the process of pressing super hard he is getting a terrible finish and a super thin coat which is not desirable.
@treasurechickNormaB
2 жыл бұрын
@@IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13 I’ve done this method before and it seems people aren’t aware that this does require 2 coats of paint. He’s just not filming the second part because it’s really just, let dry and repeat.
@IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13

@@treasurechickNormaB it's the WRONG WAY to paint. 2 thin coats this way still is less than one correctly applied coat of paint. You should NEVER press the roller nap against the wall. The number one rule of painting is keeping a wet edge. No professional painters do this

These videos are kinda funny. Don't get me wrong he's doing a good job but rolling is the fastest part of painting. Who put the drop clothes down? Who cut in around the edges. A tip from a from a pro: when rolling a wall your last pass of your roller should always be down over the whole wall you just painted even with primer and especially with a high gloss paint.

The guy in the video is not using enough paint. You can hear the roller running dry. I don't recommend painting like this. You also can't see the amount of pressure he is applying to stretch the paint that far. Lines everywhere. Speed is not always quality.
