When recording "all the cameras" can we exclude some, so we dont waste storage space recording inputs with no camera?

did you ever get the answer to this? having to clean up all unused streams (that still take up recording space) is a bit annoying!

I hope you can help me with this... I have a BMPPC 6K G2 and an Atem Mini Extreme Pro (HDMI), the issue occurs when I connect the camera to the atem, the settings on the camera changes (screen blinks) and cannot longer use the 16:9 ratio it seems blocked as well the ProRes codec, only remains some ratios with the BRAW codecs, but none are 16:9 ratios so always get black stripes on the PGM in the Atem mini. Note: This isn't happen with my BMPPC 4K. All firmwares are updated BTW. The only way that I found so far to fix it, is using an external monitor with I/O HDMI, connecting the camera to the monitor; with that the camera doesn't change codecs and I can use the 16:9 ratio and the monitor to the Atem. BUT, obviously I lost control over the camera like color correction and tally light, and I need those. Other way is converting the HDMI signal thought the BM Bidirectional converter HDMI to SDI and again SDI to HDMI. It works, the 16:9 ratio remains but losing again control over the camera. Surfing the web I found that connecting a second SDI cable to return the "control" and works, BUT in that second the cameras blink and change the codec and I ends right where I start, losing the 16:9. So, do you had any idea of what is going on here? Your are my only hope Obi-wan, neither in BlackMagic support are catching my consult and always respond something else.

In my setup, I need both usb out 2 serve as video inputs to two different computers. But with this, I am unable to record directly into the hard drive from the mixer all the camera inputs on the ISO version. Any help on how I can solve this? Would greatly appreciate

Try connecting to the computer via ethernet to free up 1 of the USB Cs?

@@usmanmajid7837 really, never thought you could connect to the computer only just via ethernet. Will try that. Thank you

Late to the party. Is the multi-view you have on the screen part of the ATEM software or are you using another program? Thanks for the content!

Thankfully it’s a part of the ATEM Control software and really easy to setup.

What I’m I recording?!? The cuts from one camera to the next?!? Can I do that? Record the cuts I’m making live?! Thanks for this video. I haven’t bought it yet but I have a visual idea of what I’m getting

Yes. You can record the cuts you make while live. If you get the ISO version it will record both your cuts as well as each camera input.

Research recommended drives and format types for your Atem model. Typically you want SSD

Is anyone else having the issue where it just stops recording on its own randomly?
@galaga00

no, you can't "use just about any hard drive". They very specifically tell you to check out tested and recommended drives in the user manual, and specifically to be SSD drives. These things can record many files at once and your drive has to keep up.
