My caliper has a t55 torx bolt. Not an 18mm holding it on

Pretty sure ur slide pins are either 18mm or t55, not sure why. I’ve seen it both ways. Frustrating if you need to run back to the parts store.

Also, on the 2003 2wd Tahoe the caliper is bolted on using a Torx T55 NOT an 18 millimeter like it shows on the video.

The front brakes use a T55 not an 18mm socket

I use a C-clamp and one of the old pad to compress the pistons.

Notice at around the 4 minute mark they cut the video to the next step because it's impossible to put the outside brake pad on the bracket after you installed it. You must put it on first then install the bracket. The inside one doesn't matter. It goes on fine. This is deceptive editing. They should have redone the video to show the ONLY way it can actually go one.

What tools do you need in all? 18 mm socket and wrench, what else?

A C-Clamp, flat head screwdriver, torque wrench, brake cleaner, caliper grease.
