You must be in the rust belt. Our 19 Escape SE with 60,000 still looked good but I used wire wheel on the center of hub and caliper bracket. Rotors in good shape. After using a wire wheel on center repainted center. Taped off disc pad surface. Used AutoZone loan a tool to turn n compress caliper. It works great. Went With Napa premium pads. It had no codes. Just observed it was due soon so took care of it. After installing still observe no codes.

Don't you have to put it in Service Mode first and Exit after? I'm havin a hell of a Time finding anything on this issue. I'm genuinely looking for answers🙏The 2015 Ford Escape doesn't have the parking break on the console, it's on the dash. Either every KZitem Mechanics isnt servicing a 2015, although its in the title, or they arent working on a Ford Escape.

@@Detroit-1980with electric parking brakes you will have to put it in service mode I’m not sure exactly how to do that on your particular model but there has to be something in the owners manual or another video on KZitem showing you how to do this

Do I have to uncompress the caliper before putting back on?
@OneTrickTech

@loloatuha4939 yes, you need to make room for the thicker pads or else it wont fit

Yes spin it clockwise and make sure YoU push down on that caliper hard while you turn clockwise or nothing will happen. Also if that doesn't work you can loosen the bleeder valve on the brake caliper that will allow you to spin the piston easier.

I didn't. I think it'll self adjust to accommodate the new thicker pads as it's driven. Just be sure pad with built on spring is on rear. That's my limited experience.

I just finished my replacement of brake pads on my 2015 Ford Escape. After replacement, i found that something is still grinding on my brake rotor. Is this a known issue? I had double checked all of my work and it appears that the grinding area is on the outer side of the rotor and not in the middle. Have any ideas why this would be happening?

you have new rotors ?

Did you put the pad with spring on backside? Is pads loaded in bracket properly? Any debris caught up in between rotor and bracket?
