Is there an actual membrane inside this tank that needs to be replaced?
@TheShackHome
6 ай бұрын
LindaBrooks-nk9vb in the tank it has a bladder (balloon like) inside, the tank is pressurized with a few pounds if air. when the water fills the bladder the air in the tank squeezes the bladder giving you the pressure from the spicket. If you pressure or flow starts to slow your bladder may have a crack and is leaking. You can put a bandage fix for this simply use a hand or foot pomp (like a bicycle tire pump) to put a few pounds of air in to gain pressure back, but only temporarily. I actually had to do this about a year ago but completely forgot to make a video on it. It is no filter per say but a holding area for your filtered water . However they will eventually breakdown. It is a fairly easy replacement and cheaper than a new system.

Hello again! I just replaced everything for the first time by myself. I was having trouble getting the water supply cut off so I turned off my main. Now I cannot remember if I turned the little grey lever (the t one) when I was trying to cut off water. Can you tell me which way it should be horizontal or vertical? My water pressure in my kitchen sink is not strong now. I'm troubleshooting. Thank you!

How do you find replacement filters now that pelican was bought out? Penair doesn't sell to consumers....

Ryan Bartlett so far I've purchased a few from Home Depot and from the penair website. I haven't had any issues . Try a search or amazon.

Hello! It seems like they no longer make the reaplcement filters for this unit. Do you know where I can get compatible filters or did you replace your RO? Can you recommend a replacement that's as easy to maintain? Thank you!
@TheShackHome

Pin if Pelican is out you could try Home Depot. Pelican still have the 4 stage and the blatter. Just the 2 stage looks to be unavailable. Could be with all the stupid stuff going on just a supply chain issue I just replaced my two-stage about two months ago. I still have the pelican absolutely fantastic little unit.

@@TheShackHome I love it, too. I was worried they stopped making them, and that I'd have to replace the whole unit. I have 6 months before I replace the post, and a year to replace the bigger one. So I have time and signed up for Home Depot restock notifications. Thank you!

@@TheShackHome One more question. Did any of the markings on the postfilter change to your knowledge once Pentair took over? One sticker which has the model number and another number (lot number?) is different than my last postfilter bought directly from Pelican. There is also an engraved "FLOW" on the new one that isn't on old one. On the sticker with the model number and the other number, can you confirm on a recent postfilter purchase which one is on top? Thank you. Sorry for trouble.

Hello, for the "smaller" filter in the back, for the "Flow" and arrow, is that supposed to be pointing towards the spout? Or towards the bladder?
@TheShackHome

Josh yes towards the spout. the direction of the water flow

I changed our filter weeks ago nd it still pours cloudy then clears up. Why does that happen?
@TheShackHome
Жыл бұрын
pinedo626 not sure if you installed it correctly and drained it a couple of time it should be all clear. I would double chect the connections and make sure its properly installed and if you did the 2 stage filter make sure the water flow is correct. not a whole lot to go wrong.
