Very useful, my wrist got fucked up and now the pain became chronic.Won't go back to what I was even if I don't train handstand anymore since long time,before I used to even clapping push up with no problems at all,now I don't even think about it.

Brother, do these exercises and give the wrist time. With consistent conditioning and stretches and such in a few months your wrist will be much better. But this injury on the wrist takes time brother. Make sure rest as much as possible and wear wrist band

@@mariocammarata5040 did you ever stop to give the wrist rest for a period of time? Only other thing I could suggest would be along with wrist wraps use paralelares and or an elevated surface to decrease the pressure load on the wrist. But if these exercises don’t work I highly suggest talking to a doctor of some sort

i wonder about it too... i have ulnar pain on my wrist from too many muscle up and handstand. Did an ultrasound and doctors didn't find anything and i feel sad about it because i wanna get back to calisthenics, it has been a year now.. sigh

@@h4x7 oh bad, what about X-RAY,.. maybe it will find and resolve your problem, i think you need to stretch your wrist slowly everyday and eat or drink something with high protein, calsium.... Me too, it has been couple months i don't do calisthenics because my wrist is vey painful. And i do stretch and eat/drink with high protein, calsium Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand

When you're loading your wrist in an exercise do you flex your wrist in opposition to your lean? For example, in the planche on the floor, would you be attempting to put your wrist into flexion to oppose the force put on your wrists? I was passively loading my wrists. Now I think I'm figuring out how to actively engage my wrists in the exercises

I've got puny little wrists so tend to use wrist-wraps. Probably doesn't help strengthen but does seem to protect.

Hey Simon, So well constructed video as usual, thanks! I have been struggling with wrist in my handstands for 6 months now and whatever i do, it just doesn't cut it. I have let them heal, I always warm up and have done strength/flexibility exercises to improve them 2-3/week for 3 months. My problem seems to arise especially from "gripping" the floor. Do you have any advice to what this particular issue could stem from ? Hope to hear from you 🙏 Kind regards Alexander

Holy shit! Free training tips from my favourite youtube strength vid guy! And on the most important joint as well. Love the focus on injury prevention. I guess you do most of the same things I do which I learned elsewhere, but somehow all that practice makes you 1000 times better!
