Thanks for this. I actually tried this a few months back since I didn't want to buy the whole brisket and it worked great and the meat was awesome. I buy the roasts on sale and I got couple and decided to try this. Thanks for confirming what I also discovered. My wife actually loved it! I will be doing this again and again.

wow how awesome! i never would have thought of smoking a chuck roast, i will have to give that a try. the only roast i have ever smoked was a venison neck roast, which came out way better than i expected. i checked out seminole swamp seasoning and was going to pull the trigger on ordering a 6pack i believe it was but the shipping was going to cost as much as the product...

I like my meat bloody. Can this be cooked less? If so how much? I don't think I've had a brisket that I really care for because not that it was dry it just was more like roast beef

Haha I was going to ask if that was an ice cream truck... I seen a video the other day about chuck roast and it inspired me to try corning it like a brisket. Have you ever made corned beef chuck roast? I do not see why it wouldnt turn out just as good, and cheaper.

I do veggies on the smoker and I put them in a foil pan with some chicken broth, leaving about a half inch exposed, and put them on for about an hour, or more, stirring occasionally. I think he did his dry tho...maybe with a little olive oil on them?
