I found this out by accident, my body was naturally doing everything you just explained in your video.

I have been having issues with the curves and twisties ever since I got my Ryker. I found your video and I tried what you are doing and OMG...what a difference!!! I seem to glide through the curves now and feel better in control of bike. I've never had an issue with arm fatigue. I have felt like I was having to "man-handle" this bike through curves. Also I'm only 5'2 in height but I keep my pegs extended out, it's much more comfortable. Seeing your video has made me decide to keep my Ryker!

@@CoachStroud No, thank you!! Your technique has changed everything for me! I'm so glad I found your channel. I rode a twisty turny road this past weekend and I was keeping up in the curves and I handled them perfectly. THANK YOU!!!

With any Can Am model if you turn to the left, lock your right elbow and adjust the turn rate with your shoulder movement backward and forward, not your arm. You will have so much more of a smooth turn and less arm fatigue. Naturally opposite elbow and shoulder for right hand turn.

I like the way your Ryker is set up. Yes if you use your whole body to turn it helps.

I am also 6' and have my floorboards in the forward position. I must have short arms, as I have installed 2" risers to bring the bars back and still could use another inch. Another reason to lean into the inside on a tight curve is that the centrifugal force will try to throw your body to the outside of the curve if you do not lean.

What type of basic rider course did you go through to get your endorsement. I would really recommend attending a STEP, Sidecar Trike Education Program. This type of course go in depth about leaning and seat position through turns. Fairly similar to your video.

i lock my elbow straight for the opposing turn arm and lean. I don't pull so much as push with my opposing leg and arm. what really got my confidence in the twisties....bajaron swaybar and links. and custom tuned front shocks. Elka stage 2 is all you need to stiffen the front and flatten the turns.

I like the video, I do the same thing when turning. The only thing I do different is I'll lean my whole body when taking a tight turn. I don't know why. Lol

i did what you did on some curves by mistake trial error .. lol .. the manual says what you say as compared to a traditional motorcycle ..... it says lean in but lean forward into the center .... i’m assuming because of the stability control the bike has.. i have slingmods back rest because i dont have max mount or storage .. the back rest is a great thing to have as support .. great video Coach ...great insight bro ..

Very interesting. I’m going to have to think about what I am doing when I ride twisting roads. My arms don’t seem to get tired while riding. I have heard quite a few people comment about arm fatigue while riding a Ryker.

My arms don’t hurt either, Grumpy. I have floorboards etc, and have gotten a lot of experience up and down the beeline and Payson to Camp Verde, and Mt Lemon etc. I will have to check out your bike one of these days.

@@jvclarke1 I recently added floorboards as well. I’m thinking about trying Devil’s Highway from Spingerville down to Clifton. That is about 93 miles of twisty roads and switch backs.

i told Beth about Devils Highway a few months ago. I started the ride about 10 years ago but had to quit when my old carbourated honda crapped at at 6500 feet. It was Group ride and trying to adjust carb in the middle of nowhere was out of the question.

It's common sense that you have to lean on all Can-Am Spyder and Rykers. You lean on all turns.
