1. practice 2. everyone does this, its not weird 3. use back camera so less distracted. look at the lens 4. imagine you are talking to someone, 1 person in the room 5. be confident and be yourself, act like your best self, good energy, personality with friends and family, hanging out having a good time.

while i think for some people it's great to be excited on camera some of my favorite people creating video content on youtube don't do this at all. feels much more authentic which i think is why they opt to not try to rely on adding excitement through how they talk, they do that with the story itself.

My problem initially was getting used to my own face. I didn't even know what I looked like, really. Then I had to get rid of thinking that I looked old. But then I realized, that's the point! I AM old and that is the advantage I have. I guess we never stop learning - maybe when I get older!

Only less than 4% of the population have intj personality. How very rare are you. Saying you're an introvert and have the intj personality is like saying you're an introverted introvert. It's getting to the point where these self-diagnosis are just feeble attempt to make yourself appear to be more interesting.

1. Practice, Practice, Practice 2. Realize This Is Normal think of your favorite KZitemr or new cast rep. They are looking at the camera and they are looking at you. 3. Turn Off the LED Display When you are talking it can become distracting because you want to look at yourself, and it makes you look unnatural. 4. Imagine You Are Talking To One Person Think like you are going to send this video to a friend or family member. It can be overwhelming imagining all of these viewers, business owners, and executives watching this video. But if you focus down on a person and pretend like this going to a friend, you will be more at ease. 5. Be Confident. Be You. 6. Don't Confuse Being Yourself With Being Boring Think about last night how you were just being yourself and interacting with friends and family. And when you do just that and watch back this video you know at the very least you were being yourself it comes out cringe or not. Now going back to last night think, when you were laughing and throwing jokes. That is the personality and the mindset you want to bring to the camera. You want the viewer to feel close to you want them to feel like a friend like they know you.

You are the first one to mention this. I have watched now a bunch of videos. And you are the first one to say honestly "don't be boring". You need to be at your best. A radio broadcaster of 10 years told me after watching my video that I need to take myself and 10x that. Obviously doesn't mean I need to do insane stuff. But he could clearly see that I am way too timid and soft spoken. He means that simply because of the medium a lot of the energy you have doesn't transfer over to the audience. So you have to speak up way beyond normal levels to reach them.

Makes me feel a lot better. And makes total sense. Acting out a pre-written dialogue is TOTALLY different than being yourself and thinking of all the right things to say on the spot/as you go...and doing it with enthusiasm...but not TOO much enthusiasm. Though I haven't really acted, I know I could--and well--but talking as myself on camera is the most uncomfortable thing I've experienced, including public speaking...which is super ironic, huh?

Think Media provides a BUNCH of helpful information, especially for those of us new to this KZitem fad. Surveys have stated that public speaking is worse than the idea of death for many. Honestly the amount of times i've watched this and still can't seem to feel comfortable. But i guess the very first tip is what i need to work from "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE" already done one video to camera yesterday having written a "script" but felt weird and uncomfortable reading it. I think my issue though was trying to use the inbuilt camera in my laptop as well as using the laptop for the script too. Instead i'm going to try and see how much more comfortable and better i feel if i record a video into my camcorder i have set up and a tripod.

These are great tips. We also recommend getting a teleprompter. Maybe you're ok with being in front of the camera but you're not good at riffing or your words get jumbled. We started to write full scripts and would read that. All you need is a simple slanted piece of glass, and an iPad running a teleprompter app and you're good! Once you have that nailed down, transition your scripts into bullet points so you can practice your riffing, or "off the cuff" talking to the camera. And then eventually you'll be able to take all that away and just straight up talk to the camera.

Hi Everyone, I am Sunir, I am trying to startup Here in San Francisco, I just wanted to get you guys feedback on this IDEA. PROBLEM : People have difficulty staring at the camera lens to create videos, they have to focus on the camera lens while speaking the right thing. But People can speak much more effectively when they speak in front of a mirror alone in a room. Solution: A Two way of Mirroring Flexible Foil that stands between the creator and the camera lens, the creator will see his own reflection without seeing the camera lens (just Like looking at the mirror) but the camera will get a clear image from another side) as if there was nothing. I had this problem once when I had to record a video, But I have never been a Regular video creator so I can't verify the problem on my own, So I just wanted to know if you have the same problem, or did you had this problem when you started out as a KZitemr? This Product will be made a Reality if I get enough Response that This actually is the problem . Thank You Very Much, Best Regards, Sunir

I have a problem..I'm still working on getting set up..just downloaded editing software, which has me confused...but I worry about talking in front of or behind the camera, because I have such a southern drawl and I'm not happy with my appearance. I don't know how to get over those and get confidence. What do you suggest? Yeah, I think I sound like a whiny baby with that, but it truly is something that bothers me. Thank you for all that you do...:)

Great tips. I especially like the tip that you talk to the camera like you're going to send the video to a friend. And that you give the energy as if you're around friends.

Your screencaps are the most annoying 🤦🏻♂️ Let’s only have Sean make videos, please? The other people just take away from the channel.....

I live in a block of flats, and I'm trying to improve my voice. I'm a Geordie, and my accent isn't the simplest to understand. I'm worried that people will hear me rehearse, and it's making me feel stupid. I'm becoming better at making videos and understanding the editing process. I've been depending on text-to-speech; any suggestions? I can't say I dislike the sound of my own voice, but when I record and play it back to myself, it sounds bizarre. Any brief sentence I can read out loud and record any on my headset, however, I frequently pick up background noise often I feel like my accent does not suit certain videos.
