You are a wise Young Man, I came out of the JWS over 4 years ago. This was a traumatic event for my whole family, almost lost my Son a few times. He is the one who Woke his Big family up. It’s very narcissistic!!

You have no clue how much this helps. Have elders contacting me like crazy now. It's nice to know I'm not crazy for questioning things. I'm almost in tears rn. I'm trying to work on myself and not feeling bad for it

Hey Bud! It gets better! Everything you’re going through others are going through and have gone through! You’re not alone! Idk your story but plz remember those elders don’t believe in researching. You can use this to get by. The less you say to them the better!!! ❤️ especially when it comes to being a pimo! Protect your privacy! You have a right to your boundaries. Sending much love and hope your way!!

Husband and I noticed if either of us are in a mood we're less likely to be able to say "im good," so "im fine" has sorta inadvertently become a signal that the person saying it is either not feeling the best and/or is having trouble with asking for help. Need both sides to be in on communication around it though. Spose this is more relationship-based than Religion tho.

My dad is very narcissistic and that is why I had to cut off communication with him. He hasn't been to meetings in years but the behavior hasn't left. But his behavior has been narcissistic before he ever became a JW. He likes to use the form of manipulation and making me feel guilty because I don't talk to him and his alcohol drinking makes his behavior that much worse. I realized most that have a form of addiction is a way of self medicating.

I can relate. My JW father is a malignant narcissist who was extremely abusive to his wife and children. I learned from Dr. Ramani (a psychologist who specializes in narcissism) that narcissists are particularly susceptible to being sucked into cults (like the Jehovah’s Witnesses cult) because cults give members validation and narcissists need constant validation since they are innately extremely insecure, even though it doesn’t always appear they feel that way. Jehovah’s Witnesses are constantly told they are special because they are part of the only one true religion in the world. That’s reassuring for anyone who’s insecure, isn’t it?

I've really enjoyed the early videos but lately your profanity and anger issues have been a real turn off. May I suggest finding someone to talk to and work thru these issues so you can restore the value your channel originally had.

Cursing isn’t a bad thing. I was forbidden from cursing in the slightest growing up in a toxic Jehovah’s Witnesses household. I couldn’t even say, “crap” or “shoot” or “hell”. Now that I’m free from my toxic JW family, not being censored all the time and feeling free to curse has been very healing. Freedom really is everything. Having anger issues is natural and expected when one is raised in a narcissistic, toxic cult. Denying that we have anger only makes it worse. We have to express our anger. We have to be able to say we’re angry and know that it’s okay to be angry. Only when we acknowledge why we’re angry is when the healing can begin.

Like what? 😂 Anger? Cursing isn't anger and I wasn't angry at all for this video. It sounds like a trigger for you. Might want to get some therapy to face that trauma. I curse because it's apart of my freedom and it's a different way of expressing myself. I usually use it for my personal comedy. If you don't like it, you're free to leave.
