Hi Melissa, if I use ordinary niacinamide with tretinoin then tretinoin works but without niacinamide it does not work.Why does it happen?

Well, I'm not certain, but are you doing anything differently when using it? Perhaps the Niacinamide may have a greater effect on your skin, or it could be the combination. However, to figure this out , you'll need to test the different methods.

Where did you get the thingy around your wrists? Does it prevent water from going down your arm?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet

I bought them on Amazon, but they are currently not available. And yes, they do prevent water from running down the arms. It would be something like this: wristbrella.com/products/wristbrella%E2%84%A2-skincare-wristbands

I use The ordinary aha bha every 3 days + tretinon 0.05 5 days a week+ niacnmide 10% can make my big pores small? What about Exfoliate acne and unify facial color thanks

I recommend being careful when using exfoliating acids and tretinoin during the same week, as using them too frequently can lead to excessive dryness and/or irritation sooner or later. So, please do not overuse these treatments. You can use Niacinamide daily in your AM routine. So, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Are you referring to a tan?

Hi Melissa, I'm using The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum. Does this powder have any advantage over the serum?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
8 ай бұрын
Well, you can customize it, reducing or increasing the strength, which is quite nice. However, if you are happy with the 10% niacinamide serum and experiencing good results, I would say no, it's not worth it.

I'm not certain, as I haven't compared them side by side. But I also use a low strength of retinol (0.1%), as this has shown the best results for me!

I have a 2% niacinimide face wash will i get the benefits of niacinimide even if it is in a face cleanser as much as i would in a moisturizer or serum? Or is it just a marketing trick
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet

Well, the question is whether the time is enough for it to effectively absorb into the skin. If 15-30 seconds would be enough, then yes. However, for such ingredients, I think it's better to use a leave-on product so that it can effectively penetrate without irritating the skin as much as possible.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet okay so if i use water to remove the cleanser wont the niacinimide get cleansed as well?
@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet

@@Dakshsavla9669 Yes, of course, but while you do that, ingredients also get absorbed by the skin. The question is: is the absorption time long enough to show significant effects?

Generally, no. During pregnancy, retinoids are not recommended as there is some concern that they can negatively affect the fetus. However, for the best advice, I recommend asking your local doctor!
