i really like this video, and it has been very helpful so far in actually implementing changes to how i write my uni essay, but i feel like this video could have better addressed the research phase of essay writing and how to do good research

These are really helpful videos, please keep making them 😁 I've come from a BA undergraduate into a science MSc and I had no idea how to structure a good scientific essay. Underrated videos atm but I'll be forwarding on to everyone in my course as I'm not the only one! 👏🤩

Are you going to make a video of how you approach masters statement of interest/personal statement? (Although it’s not realllyy an essay)

I've got a couple videos coming out first since the window for most applications has now passed but I will be! I already made a video which briefly touches on it here though: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rWyVnoGKrXVklKQ More than happy to answer general questions here in the meantime!

Great video!! I remember you had really good advice in one of these videos about the order in which you read journal articles - something like intro > figures > conclusion? Couldn't find that clip again, would you mind clarifying!

Hey Fontaine! I can't remember where it was but for reading science papers as you mentioned you can get a good grasp of what's going on based on just reading those three things. Introduction gives a grasp on the context of their findings Figures should explain all of the results clearly (if they're good) Conclusions/Discussion puts those findings into the context of the field. That way you can avoid spending several hours reading results when they're already presented concisely. If it seems especially relevant you can then read the results but it means that at a minimum you don't waste time getting to the conclusion before you know it's a useful/good paper!
