I sung in their pavilion show, I remember singing on the stage with them and at the end of the concert I was about to go down stairs as they said for all the children to come downstairs for a church talk, my mother stopped me going down before I could!

If they show up again, tell them this, "You're from Louisiana, you have enough poor and hungry and sick back at home. Why should we trust a single damned word you say, when you have a single child going hungry or homeless in your own state, much less country?" Seriously, these people are a plague. You want to isolate and eradicate before it spreads.

Something similar happened when I was in primary school. There was a Treasure Tent pitched near where I lived that lured children into it with free sweets and prizes. My mother was suspicious and wouldn't let me go there and made me stay home rather than have me risk being lured into it by other children. Children didnt need their parents with them or even written permission from there parents to go in. I think my mother either checked it out in the daytime or had a bad feeling about it. Most of the boys who had been lured into it walked out again when they realised there was a heavy evangelical message or they turned a deaf ear to it. But some of the girls did and one of them later tried to convert me. My mother could stop me going into the Treasure Tent but she still had to send me to school where some brainwashed girls saw as their mission field. Children are targeted by evangelists because they readily listen and also to be used as tools to convert other children.

Excellent reporter. Very professional and well spoken. However it seemed a little biased. It would have been better if it had shown students who converted as well as people who felt hurt from the experience. But hats off to the reporter who has a good future in journalism ahead of her if the bias issue could be resolved.

I came here from the National Secular Society's website. The NSS doesn't want to ban religion but to separate church and state as it should only be a private matter for the home and church only. I was afraid of them at first until I looked at them. It wants to keep religion out of state schools or make RE an optional subject only that can be dropped when choosing GCSE subjects. Denying that there have been complaints is the oldest trick in the book. That church had received lots of complaints.

Okay, this video is a disgusting hit piece with absolutely nothing backing it. Firstly, she uses her dad to build her case so that can be ignored as an independent source of truth. Next we go to a LGBT guy (Will) who claims that because the church group does not accept homosexuality, he believes that they consider him lower than they are. This is of course not true, as the Bible tells us that ALL have sinned and fallen short of glory, meaning that he did not do his research, and that he is acting on emotion and not facts. We are then told about how this Christian group asked students if they wanted to 'join their religion' - if they were ultra conservative Christians, the term 'join our religion' would not be used - instead you would have heard 'give your life to Christ' meaning that this 'witness' can also be ignored. On to a hit piece about the church - their mission statement is bold and it tandems what the Bible says. Now either a) the Bible should be banned, or b) people have the right to believe it and plainly display it as their statements of faith. Next we have the class science teacher who is not happy with the church being anti Darwin. The code for life (DNA) is far more complicated than any computer program ever written. Code magically writing itself is called 'auto encryption' and the computer science teacher will tell you that it's impossible. Therefore until a repeatable example of genetic code writing itself can be produced, what Darwin believed remains a religion. Homophobia is a non issue. As already stated the Bible treats all of us a sinners - again this is just ignorance. Next we find out that our friend 'Will' did some complaining and the churches response is fair and honest. I have also found that when witnessing to homosexuals, one of the first things they do is ask 'wise guy' questions about what I believe in regards to them. But the answer is always the same, our salvation is a personal issue, but we have a personal God who died for us on the cross, but the good news is that he overcame death, meaning that if we live in him, we too can have life in abundance. The summary is basically 'how dare this Baptist Church come to Wales with a message of hope - we know 3 people who didn't like them due to poorly researched positions' It's a nasty hit piece and nothing else. Anwen Sleath should be ashamed of herself.

This was an incredibly one sided documentary featuring members of the LGBTQ community and other atheists. I would urge you to look at it from a more balanced stance. These people were sharing the gospel, every person has the right to hear it and can decide how they wish to take it. Just a reminder that Jesus came for those of us who are sinners, not the righteous and it his through faith in him that we are saved.

The irony is is that you fail to see how incredibly one sided your religion is. You exclude all others unless they accept your religious beliefs. I used to be one of you. I saw Christianity for what it really is. A shallow, narrow minded religion taken over by bigots like yourself.

God made all and love all....why do people want to control another when God gave us each an entity and a vessel with own mind and voice....no man should judge, only God should judge. We all should mind our own business unless it effect us personally.

The documentary looked at this from a stance of UK Discrimination Law and standards for education. Creationism and anti gay teachings could be in violation of these and therefore educational authorities could have been failing their legal and professional and moral obligations. This is a serious and entirely legitimate concern. However this report does still leave me asking if there was any meaningful efforts from the controversial Louisiana based church to meet the specific needs of these Welsh communities of if their only agenda was conversion. I would have liked to have been told one way or the other. From this documentary they appeared to rely their large budget, with music and performance, to get a foot in the door and then push a generic, highly slick program aimed at conversion, rather than make any genuine efforts to understand and work with & support the community. If this wasn't the case, then there would be a case for the report being one sided. However the church had a right to respond and did not make any claims to this report was wrongfully implying that their main agenda was conversion to their religious beliefs and discriminatory social views. "Everybody has a right to hear the gospel and decide for themselves" We already have a carefully discussed, regulated and approved religious education in this country where children in schools hear about the gospel and decide for themselves, and are free to seek out more information. And if you think that it is a good thing to convert people to this brand of Christianity, and if you think that they should have access to schools, presumably you would welcome a Muslim organisation with five times the budget, and a Hindu, a Sikh organisation with ten times the budget, also having the same access to British schoolchildren, reading Suras, sayings of the holy prophet, chanting, teaching the benefits of having a shrine in your home etc. Saudi Arabia will be very glad to hear this, they are keen on promoting their brand of Islam and pushing back against women's rights and gay rights!
