That goes well for a car which has been around the clock nearly 4 times. You are obviously a great mechanic.

Good one. Yes this is one feature of automatic cars. Many people still don't know much about automatics, e.g. autos can't do engine brake, driver cannot select gears manually, or anything like that. I still even see sometimes, people driving automatic putting left foot on the brake and right foot on gas.

I also drive automatics with both feet. It's just obvious for me that if I have two feet and two pedals that I should just be using them. That way I don't have to switch over from one pedal to the other and can therefore react quicker if I have to brake. Also If you need to win a traffic light race you probably want to pump into the torque converter by pressing both pedals at the same time to get more power when taking off :D

Well people can drive in any style they want, if they really master it that way; but as a standard, I don't think regular people should learn using both feet. I still see cars cruising with their brake lights light most of the time, I don't think there's nothing wrong with it. Agree on that taking off part haha..

i remember grandpa's 4A/T Corolla when I'm cruising at 80kph and i want to overtake a truck OHHH GEEZ the sound it makes when you're trying to overtake! 😂 it goes from Calm Sounding to Angry Sounding in a split second 😂 it's not like the 5 M/T where you just need to drop it to 4th gear to perform an overtake where it just bumps the rpm up a bit with a 4 speed auto nahhhh you're either cruising in 4th or the engine is screaming in 3rd

I have a 7A-GE modified engine installed in my Toyota corolla Marino. At first the pickup was excellent but as time went by the speed hasitates and very hard for car to change gear. Now I got da kick back cable to be maneuverd and tied down. the pick up is very good and is it OK if da gear changes between 3.5 - 4.5k rpm.

hi Peter Finn this kick down looks like good, but my gear kicks down 2 times in my corolla 2011.. when i press the pedal for ~50% on the speed 100, it kicks down for 1 second on 3rd gear then kicks down for 1 second on 2nd gear! and rpm reaches near the red, then returns to 3 gear.. why is that? when I bought the car it was kick down just 1 time not double times..

you want real kickdown? Floor it in a BMW M, Audi R8 , Mercedes AMG, or any other high performance sports car. THATS kickdown.
