In February of 2022 I purchased a Bergara B14R and one of these POS.The Bergara is mighty fine and worth every penny it cost. I own a Howa Chassis rifle in .308 and dearly love it but this M100 has been a pain. Feeding issues aside it shoots great ad I love the way it handles.About a year and a half ago I ordered a trigger spring from Gunbloke and never got it, He said He shipped it another time and I never got it and Ebay was no help. I have a Gunbloke spring in my .308 and it makes a NICE trigger. I snipped the spring on my M1100, easy enough. Howa sent me some new mags and I thought that might fix feeding issues but no. Next I will open up the extractor and the port side case holder . I'm looking at the Howa M 1100 as a long term project.

It is a very light and handy rifle with good accuracy using the correct ammo, but. The extractors need serious refinement. Also the action is rough and also needs refinement. Is it worth $600, NO! I hope you get yours humming. Cheers.

My feed issues sorted themselves out after about 150 rnds it feeds awesome now and it is quite accurate I'm glad thevissuescsorted them selves out ask nearly gave up on it and was gonna take it to a gunsmith to try and sort out. It broke in great it's my go to 22lr at the moment. Getting .3 inch at fifty meters with win power points 40gr jacketed hollow point it's in a txps got a nice rail and Warne maxima rings tightened up groups a bit and torqued up good ,heaps better than the ring base combo I got when I bought it. Dont u like dry holes. Running all my 22 on win power points they all shoot good with them not the best groups I can get but really good ejough that they all run ok with the power points. I really don't wanna have to run different ammo for each 22. It's a good gun and works better than u would think once it shot itself in.

spot on mate, that is how i shoot, its not rocket science. Sights on the spot, and shoot. I can tell you hunting you dont have time to think about step, and those guys telling you how too shoot lol, nope. im with you on that.

I agree, maybe a learner, but it's like driving or any other skill like catching a ball, it should be instinct. I was lucky, out on a farm safety was drummed into us, then we could shoot all we wanted too. Some practice between duck seasons too, not me, no money to waist doing that. And I dont miss many, once you learn it, it's always is the same thing. I was sharp in my teens, I shot bunnies running with a 22. Maybe you either have the skill or not. Scopes are easy too. Best skill is learn your yards by looking. I could shoot a fox in the spotlight and predict the yards within 1-3 yards. Skill I think should be learnt. Predict a tree or something, then step it out. We had no range finders, except our eyes and brains. I could tell your ex army. By the way you talk. Keep up the good work, I like how you talk, like we are in the conversation with you over a beer.

Let me know how you go. I would compare it with the Norinco for build quality.

I'm with you my howa centrefire rifles are great, the 1100 22lr was a dissapiontment, I wish I had seen your review before I bought it.

I hope they come out with an improved version because the customer base was already there, all they had to was make it as good as the centrefires and they would have raked it in. My pillow is still wet from the tears of disappointment!

I wonder if you bed the action your results would be different ?

Surprisingly the action to stock fit is quite precise so highly unlikely especially when dealing with rimfire. Long Range Shooters of Utah did an action screw test to see what effect torque adjustment had on groups with a CZ 455 and the results were not what was expected.

Delta Optics Titanium 4.5 to 30 x 56i. I want big brother 5 to 50. Delta are made in Japan and are best value in my opinion.
