If you ever find a good cheap trellis, my advice is to by as many as you can afford. Right now I am low on trellises and all of the ones I used to purchase are no longer available. Wire works fine until the plants get too big. I live about 120 Kilometers south of Montreal Canada.

I'm so happy that it turned out well for you. I have had to make a lot of wire trellises myself lately, because they seemed to stop making the ones I used to buy. Thanks again for the nice comment!

You are such a helpful resource! I consider myself a budding Hoyer collector, all of mine are less than a year old. At this moment I have some which are little Hoya right now, but won’t be staying that way. I’m curious about planning for that transition and how to trellis a plant temporarily which is going to outgrow it and need a much different set up in the future.

Hey Doug! I love your videos! You are a huge part of getting me on the path to Hoya obsession! I have quite a few in my collection now. Where do you get your bumblebbee clips? Please share. Thanks again for all your useful information.

Hi Helena, I'm very gratified that I have helped you get on your way to Hoya obsession! Unfortunately the bumblebee clips are no longer made. Here is where I got them though, and they have many others to choose from, but no bumblebees: www.chulaorchids.com/plant-clips-and-supports.html

Absolutely Love your trellis idea ! Def gonna try it with mine .. Do you keep your Hoyas in full sun outside ? Or are they kept inside ? I keep mine inside, but would like to hear your advice on them .. Thanks for a great video ☺

Thanks for the comment Tammy. I keep most of my Hoyas inside for nine months of the year and put them outside in the semi-shade for the short summer here in Vermont. They really appreciate being able to go outside for a while.

just curious about the gauge of wire you used for this trellis
@DougChamberlainVTHoyas
3 жыл бұрын
It was not very heavy gauge probably a 14 or 16.

Liked ur idea. Wat gauge wire is dat. M planning to make one
@DougChamberlainVTHoyas

The wire was only 16 gauge, but heavier wire would be better.
