SpitnGames, Hello. I actually belong to a Shark research committee. And sharks like the Great White can't live in any aquarium longer than a week or two tops.. They would bump into things too much and need huge amounts of room to roam . But sharks like the sand tiger shark (Not to be confused with the tiger shark) can live in big aquariums along with Nurse sharks. I think the Sand tiger shark and Nurse sharks are the 2 sharks that can live in huge aquariums. Hope this info helps.
@malnutritionboy
6 жыл бұрын
then your shark research committee must be useless. everyone knows that all sharks except for a great white can be kept in an aquarium, even the whale shark. we are talking about home aquariums. those who are filthy rich and live in mansions. for those smaller sharks are better such as bamboo sharks but they are small and very inactive and seen as ugly to some therefore sharks like a black-tip reef shark that grows relatively small with the largest ever found to only be 6 feet are the best home aquarium shark

There is plenty of controversy behind the Georgia aquarium. Creatures that aren't domesticated shouldn't be kept in the common household. It's really as simple as that. You can argue that you bought these sharks from a breeder, blah, blah blah. The point is domestication is process that takes hundreds of years. Here's an article about how "well" the whale sharks are doing. www.nytimes.com/2007/06/14/us/14shark.html
