There are a tonne of stretches online for your upper back (like this one • Bolton Chiropractic - ... ) - but these do not really build muscle - they only stretch out what muscle you have, and build mobility in the joints. Those are BOTH important. but so is building the actual musculature involved.
If you want to strengthen your upper back to correct poor posture (think hump back or rounded shoulders), there is no better exercise than the face pull plus. I've heard it said that if you work at a computer, then you should finish EVERY exercise session you do with this one move.
I've seen the face pull exercise in a lot of places, but I feel like it is missing one thing - external rotation. The face pull PLUS takes this into consideration.
