I personally think that choosing random semi retired pro skaters to be judges is probably just a bad idea because a lot of them are fucking morons. They don't need to be well known pro skaters, they need to be people who know skateboarding very well and have the intelligence and discipline to research the judging criteria and remember how to enforce them consistently. They don't have Mike Tyson judge boxing matches cause he used to be a really good/famous boxer. The fact these judges can have brand or even personal connection with certain contestants is also insane. It literally seems like they are choosing scores at random some times
@Makabert.Abylon

I don't get Ribeiro slowly walking across the deck to set up for his next trick - skateboards have wheels on them for a reason. Also, having Mike Mo and Kelly Hart judge a contest that ends up being 90% handrail tricks when, in the totality of their combined careers, they have skated ONE handrail, is pretty silly. They might as well be judging a vert contest.

I think Sora's xmas grind in the finals wasn't as clean as the one in prelims. His backfoot got a bit floaty. Cab back tail big spin was underscored tho. It''s tech af and the gnar factor is so high, with that rail being so big AND having that cross bar near the bottom.
@PlaySA

About Gustavo Ribeiro - i have checked prelims and finals after your video to make sure that he had improvement on his run. So I remember it right. Seeing Sora almost losing a spot at finals for Ishod was mentally brutal. At the beginning of the prelims I was like : ok, judges don't have parameters now, so they aren't giving high scores, but 2 heats later the mess started once again.
