Huxwrx changed the name because the full name is huxwrx saftey now. They did it for two reasons. First, to try to help sway opinion on suppressors to focus on hearing safety rather than being something evil like the media likes to portray anything firearm related. They also wanted to open themselves up to doing more safety products outside of strictly in the firearm industry.

Great channel and awesome review! Huxwrx is definitely changing up the game and is redesigning the entire suppressor industry. For future reference, from my understanding they wanted to change to Huxwrx (OSS is a parent company or something like that) because they're planning on doing more than just suppressors, they want to get into every aspect of safety when it comes to shooting

Been looking at the Flow 556 so this video popped up.. nice video. The bullet does not make contact with the muzzle device. So my understanding the way the end of the device is machined the actual gas will cause it to tighten itself.

Yes, it is completely wide open. Strangely enough, this thing carbon locks pretty quickly. Like as quick as 5-6 rounds, whereas my actual can hadn't carbon locked on yet. One thing to keep in mind with the Flow 556K is that it's service life if only around 10k rounds and the standard HX-QD can is 20k

Have you ever tried the Badlands? I’m going back and forth between these two options.there’s a lot more out there on the HUX,they seem too be really close to same thing done slightly different.JW if you had any experience with both.

I had never heard about the Badlands until now. I'd assume it has about the same effect as the Blasphemy. One good thing about the Badlands is that you don't need a special muzzle device/suppressor mount also. It's just direct thread

Since this device is designed to redirect the blast forward, protecting the shooter and bystanders from micro-concussions and overpressure, how much if any does it reduce blast noise to the shooter behind the gun? Is it a noticeable reduction (I realize this is not a suppressor).
@regulardudegungearreviewsh3132

I didn't really notice much difference. But someone else had commented that if I were using a muzzle brake, versus the flash hiders, that I would notice a much bigger difference. I am putting together an 18" build right now and have gone with a muzzle brake this time. I will try the Blastphemy on it once I have it completed and report back.

Do I have to use huxwrx suppressor mount ? Or can u use another brand ? I’ve been wanting of these for a while but 556 is out of stock everywhere

Yeah Hux mounts only. They have a 30 cal 1/2-28 brake available at Modern Warriors. Would work fine with 556 but if u ever got a Hux can you'd have to make sure u get a 30 cal can, because they are designed so that you can't accidentally screw a 5.56 can on a 7.62 gun.

So can anyone talk me into this? I have the OSS (I can't stop calling them that either) HX QD 7.62 TI can (or I will any day now 270 as of today). I would like to get the Blastphemy just because it's cool, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what the point is once I have my can??? I guess I can just tell myself it's to protect my threads when I'm using my can on another rifle. Thanks for the video, man. I'll keep watching.

It's good for not carbon blasting your weapon light and protecting the threads, as you mentioned. If you have some spare cash and don't mind spending it on something that doesn't really do much else, go for it. Otherwise, I would just pass if I already had a can

Quick question. I only used one shim to install the muzzle device on and when i waited to screw the blastphemy on it touches the handguard. Is this bad?
@regulardudegungearreviewsh3132

It's not good. It will upset the harmonics of the barrel and maybe possibly damage your barrel and/handguard(?). It would definitely be a no-go and could be catastrophic if we're an actual suppressor
