I am going to be doing a follow up shortly on the Blastphemy utilizing an actual person sitting adjacent to me to see if they sense a difference with it on and off. Some people have commented that the Blastphemy would be more useful when using one of Hux's brakes instead of a flash hider. Since making this initial video I have since added three guns with brakes: an 18" in 5.56, a 16" 7.62x39, and an 8.3" 7.62x39. So, more to come!

These blast devices have a specific function. They are not for night fighting obviously huge fire ball for all brands “muzzle deflectors.” They are great for shooting on the range with friends though because they direct the side pressures/gasses forward.

I suspect the difference would be greater if using the muzzle brake can mount instead of the flash suppressor can mount, specifically for the reason you said.

The comparison is really the Blasphemy vs a Compensator or Brake and not a flash hider. That's where the lack of side/back blast is noticeable. I have recently picked up the Blasphemy (mainly to protect threads on my suppressor hosts) and removed a Battle Comp from a 16" DDM4v7. The difference in felt concussion and "blast" both from the shooter's perspective and those standing beside me online is dramatic. This would be even greater when coming from some of the crazy side-port or rear-angled compensators and muzzle brakes. To your point, I purchased to protect muzzle, protect my $500 Modlite, and any lessening of the severity of felt concussion for my range partners is a value add. One interesting note is the Battle Comp always gave the muzzle a slight push downward during rapid strings of fire while the Blasphemy seems to push the rifle directly back into my shoulder more. Sample size of one...take it for what it is worth, lol. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely, but I guess it's to be expected. When you contain all of that unburnt powder in what's basically a canister, instead of getting diffused by the flash hider, it turns into a little powder keg.

I don't understand why you all say this is a problem...this is exactly what these are designed for. I.e. this is what you'd want for inside your house in the mid of the night forcing all the gas and concussion forward instead of around you in a closed container area. Otherwise you run a suppressor. Am I missing something here?

Apply some Aeroshell or copper anti-seize on the threads. It seems to make it easier to remove the can or Blasphemy while it’s still hot. The heat makes it tougher to remove as the metal expands.

Ok my question for you. My gunsmith attempted to install the huxwrx flash hider on a dd mk18 and he claimed he was unable to because he said the rail would bump the taper on the flash hider not allowing him to tighten it down. Unfortunately, I don't believe they do make an extended brake. HUXWRX doesn't even show the extended flash hider on their website; I only found it by accident when going on Triarc's website. I've only seen it there and Bauer Precision. According to HUXWRX's website their standard brakes and flash holders only add 1.7" to overall barrel length, so with your barrel you're still going to be about a half inch short, unfortunately
