I have to admit that I thought I set the world record for largest guitar ensemble...well, me and a few thousand other people playing Deep Purple in the UK. This was some time in the early '00s though and a bit of googling tells me this has been well and truly beaten since then. Shame. May attempt the headstand guitar one...I feel like that could be achievable. Also, how can you not know Flight of the Bumblebee?! It's the quintessential fast piece and it transcends all instruments. Anyway, I love how elaborate the filming setup for the unicycle guitar record attempt is: drone in the air, GoPro on the helmet and what looks like a pretty sweet DSLR in a handheld stabiliser all for a few seconds of falling off footage! That drone shot going down the street made it feel so much more epic than it actually was!

The guitarist/keyboard player in one of my old bands had the idea to unicycle up to the bandstand while playing his wireless electric guitar. So we started the song and waited for him to come cycling up. Two minutes go by and no guitarist. He finally comes up holding his left arm up in the air. He went about 3 feet, fell off and broke his wrist. He played one-handed keyboard for the rest of the gig. Hey, the show must go on.
