Love this idea!! I was thinking of expanding it a bit wider to allow a small walk around on the sides. Do you think your shop vac (i have the same power) would have the strength to raise a bigger "dock" by filling 3 barrels?

I think the key with three barrels (as it was with the two) is to make sure the air distributes evenly, but yes it should work

Looks great and works! You mentioned it starts bubbling and you know it's up. So do have holes in plastic barrels? If so where are they in the barrels I imagine towards the top some where? I am thinking of making a similar one for my seadoo. I already have ez dock boat lift that works that way for my 17' boat. So I am thinking of doing something similar. But instead of using a shop vac I am going put in a tee from my solar powered boat lift pump with two valves so I can lift my boat or my seadoo like yours does. My pump works both ways up or down as well. I am thinking of connecting one end of the seadoo lift to the side of my stationary dock or to my floating boat lift. The other end would be a barrel(s) similar to yours. It appears you used two barrels. I am wondering if I could get away with one barrel perpendicular. Or is two necessary? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
