I love those type of heroic sacrifices in any story because it’s an actual true heroic act, most of the time you imagine a hero sacrificing himself and dying gets to live in heaven or at least rest easy but when they are told by doing the right thing they will suffer for it and would benefit from doing the wrong thing, then choosing the right thing to do is truly selflessly heroic
@shadowfox2120

It's an interesting concept. I remember reading a spider-man comic once where Peter was talking with their version of the devil, Mephisto. Peter asked if their bargain was for his soul and Mephisto replied no. He hated bargains where one soul was traded to save others because they suffer with righteousness in the hearts knowing they saved others.

@Doggypaddle8

@Timmeh_The_tyrant Definitely. The "good" guys would be on the hunt. The other thing I found a little unbelievable is that they waited until the last possible moment to tell him what he was & what he must do. Ppl are often indecisive when they're rushed. Example: ppl not signing for organ donation of loved 1s bc they don't have time to think about it. So, he may have been able to be convinced if they started working on him earlier. They could have raised him expecting it to a degree.

I kind of felt like it was a bit basic and served as a cliche cop out to exploring a normal human’s consciousness, or lack thereof… maybe I find alcohol a bit disgusting as my father was an alcoholic and I see it as the crude poison that it is. I find alcohol abuse in stories and movies etc as too easy and often not serving the narrative or character. I became addicted to heroin, so I’ve no room to judge, but internally I’m a snob about the revolting and simple substance nonetheless.. it may have made me spend a few years doing regrettable behaviors, but my body, organs and mind are still intact! 😄

He liked the protagonist better than he actually deserved judging by the narrative, and that was some convenient dues ex machina that didn’t really do much for the story. Then you’ve come to the right channel, because DS has exactly those kinds of narrations. Definitely quality over quantity..the authors that he narrates for such as Verstahl, m59gar, and so many more..this channel is NOT like a lot of these up and coming short stories with no thought,no creativity,no character development at all,just odd stories that don’t make much sense. This change has stories that aren’t just horror, but one of high strangeness, like “the girl the universe forgot” great story, has to do with the Mandela effect. Just so many stories that leave you kind of wondering,just like this one..or ones where there isn’t always a happy ending..and then there’s “you’ll always be my baby” that’s the very first story I read here, years ago when I first subbed! It’s been so nice to watch the channel grow!

Loved the story, and most if not all you read. I'm a truck driver and i love to listen to your storys when I drive, especially if it's late night or early morning because it helps me stay awake. Been listening to you for years now. Thanks for all the great narration!

Truly some great writing. That seemingly random complaint about how the tap water was brilliant.

That's the best one you've done In a while, I mean all your narration work is great. And the authors story's you use are great. But this one was just a cut above the rest. Great job man and amazing job to everyone eles voicing there characters.

This is one of my favorite stories you've done and I've heard them all! I was surprised when it took the turn it did but as soon as the first mention of the star I knew. I grew up watching the original Omen and it was always one of my favorite movies.

If I've learned anything over the last 7 years of listening to creepy pastas the continental United States is a scary ass place.
