Surely you never seen that 'crazy guitar' before because that particular model was released by Killer Guitars in 2019 (just months before NEMOPHILA formed) specifically tailored by and for SAKI to commemorate her 10 Years Anniversary (since professional debut in 2009 with Destrose). That is her signature guitar model "KG-Fascinator Seven the Empress" - played by the Empress SAKI of NEMOPHILA, First Of Her Name, Metal Guitar Goddess and Rifflord, Co-Founder and Organizer of World Guitar Girls Collection, Composer of Mary's Blood, Co-Founder of Amahiru, Founder of Re:Maker and Mixx, Guitarist of Destrose.

Saki was co-founder of Guitar Girls Collection, along with the guy who later introduced her to Mayu. ESP Guitar Workshop have announced a fresh supply of the KG Fascinator Seven the Empress Galaxy Black Petals---black with sakura (cherry blossom) petals---available now because the sakura trees are in full bloom in Japan.

Title track from 1st first full album released in Dec 21 that almost immediately took "Artist of the Year" honors from Tower Records Japan. NEMOPHILA is shooting straight to the top 🌸✨🌠 振り切った裸の夢を "A pure dream that exceeds limits" 駆け抜けるリズムと共に "With rhythm running through" Translations thanks to: 無名旋律 .

You gave the translation by 無名旋律 of the only Japanese verses of "Revive". The translation is not very good, and might be difficult to fit it with the rest of the lyrics which are in English. The first verse refers to overcoming or shaking off a "naked dream", which can literally mean a dream of yourself naked, which in Japanese fortune-telling can refer to inner anxieties. In other words, get over the problems or anxieties of life. The second verse is about rhythm pulsing or running through your body, and refers to the song "Revive" itself. Turn off the unpleasant inner and outer noises of life, and turn on to the "noise", and revive yourself with the rhythms, of "Revive"---the song is your "best friend". Mayu depicts this running rhythm when she races up the steps to the top platform. Mayu has said in interviews she wants listeners to feel and get energy from the song.

@@otobokegaijin6218 Thank you otoboke gaijin. 無名旋律 was giving similar explanations and tried to boil down how those phrases could fit with the context of rest of the English lyrics of the song, like going with a pure dream instead of naked dream. I'm fascinated with what the meaning of those two phrases is in context with the song, and only suspect NEMOPHILA left them as Japanese because the English phrasing either didn't translate right for Western understanding, or the musicality of vocals of those two phrases in English didn't fit the musicality of the song. Is this more correct? 振り切った裸の夢を "get over the anxieties of life" 駆け抜けるリズムと共に "focus on the rhythm of Revive"

@@waterwalker9600 Thank you WaterWalker. I've done translation professionally occasionally, and have concluded that literature and lyrics are the most difficult to do. A lot of Japanese song lyrics are better left untranslated---if you translate them you need notes to explain meaning and context, and you end up with an academic dissertation. And there are some things that just can't be explained. The reverse is true too: some things just can't be translated from English to Japanese (or any language to any other language, I think) . An example I like is the verse "spring clean for the May queen" from Led Zep's "Stairway". There's simply no way you can translate that into Japanese and make any sense (assuming the English makes sense). In the case of "Revive" it's only two verses though. The first verse literally says "the naked dream shaken off", but you have to explain what "naked dream"---裸の夢---means. I did that in my first reply---basically, you have to shake off or cope with the inner anxieties manifested by the naked dream. The second verse literally translated is "with the rhythm that pulses [in you]". The verb phrase 駆け抜ける means either 1) physically running through or past something or 2) emotions running through your heart, or sensations pulsing through your body. I've explained the context in the first reply---if you look at the lyrics you'll see it fits in with the English verses before and after.

@@otobokegaijin6218 Thank you and so true. Tri-lingual and can totally understand your point. Like the translations to LIFE, there are four now including the official MV and all are slightly different. I appreciate you explaining the context. Love this band and song as you can probably tell. 🤘😁🤘

@@waterwalker9600 Sorry, I didn't notice that you had done your own version of the translation. As for "get over the anxieties of life" and "focus on the rhythm of Revive"---that's the meaning, but that's not what the lyrics read. This is always a problem in translation: do you translate literally, or give a symbolic or metaphorical or tropological translation that may or may not be "correct". I would say "Shake off your anxieties" and "The rhythm pulsing through you" (don't need to say "Revive").

Nemophila good is really good: I watched their show that they livestreamed in January, and they sounded amazing! But to be fair, the live content you can find on YT it doesn't do them justice! Imho if there is a MV, go for that instead of the live version! For some song like Oiran, Monsters, Life, and all the covers, there is only a live version, and they are pretty good! Hypnosis is my favourite from them, so it's a big yes from me :D

I think it is worth while to consider their covers. They make them very good justice. Both rock and metal covers. OK - the rock cover might be a bit more metal, having two 7 string guitars and a 5 string base and Mayo as a singer and Tamu at the drums just gives it a more metal sound.
