I collect vintage yearbooks just cause I love to look through them and put together the stories of all the students. I especially love when they’re signed with personal messages that give you a deeper look into the previous owners life!

You have probably already checked, but the Sony camcorder with the black screen might have a "fade to black" function that some cameras had for in-camera fade outs. I seem to remember having a camera many many years ago that had a similar issue. That or maybe a nightvision mode or something? There was some setting/button that was causing the black screen, rather than it being actually broken.

Was thinking that the year books you can put them under the heading of genealogy as well. I went looking for yearbooks from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for my grandparents . I actually found 1 year that my grandmother was in. Just an idea. Great finds today bud

I feel like most online auction companies have this issue with being let down by the lot images and info. Not because they are shady, but just because they can't possibly know everything about everything and might not think to take pictures of vital areas, or show every single angle and open every box. My local companies offer an in-person viewing day to check out items, so I feel like they tell themselves, "Well, they should have came and looked at it in person." Which is tough for people like me selling part time and working, or yourself that are probably too busy to make it to every viewing.

90%+ of my eBay items are what I call auction arbitrage. Lots like "unclaimed items" and "misc....." are gold.

I have done business with that other company. That's why I will only do business with your auction from now on. You are honest. I keep forgetting to mention that Ben is a super nice person. Here is my story, I bought the house I live in from their auction. This was before online auctions. I had the high bid. The auctioneer kept coming back to me asking for one more thousand. I wanted the house so I bid another thousand. After he said "sold" several people told me that I already had the high bid and he got one more thousand out of me.

Best late day find. Just sold a musical keyboard missing some covers and cord for $30 (hers died). So there's a garage sale around the corner from where we met. There's 3 flats of old train stuff and slot car stuff. Asked what do you want for these $20 or obo will you take $10. Sold the 5 slot cars for $600. The thing I saw was a slot car and ho cross over that goes for $25+

"Win" is such a misnomer, it's something my dad told me way back when I first started using ebay and auctions, he said always say you are buying something, it keeps it in context of spending money and buying.

I too source from auctions like that, I give them some slack because it's usually a minimum wage worker that is tasked with listing quickly, not proficiently and that is why there are deals to be had. The scores always outweigh the duds.

Other than your "high bid problem", what is the max you bid on a lot. x4 or x3 to get a profit or break even? example lot COG $20, total rev. sales on Ebay for $min of $80. I go back to those auction houses that represent themselves and items better. I will spend more too.

I have sold several of those torx timers. They all sell quick and I usually do pretty well on the profit. I usually get them for $1 or so and they tend to sell for around $35-50 depending on model.

Question!!!!!!! Do you take notes, mark a calendar, etc. for your days of work? You seem to be organized!!!! Example, when did you know that store was closing and what day would be a good day to start watching their dumpsters?!?! I have to laugh, you just said, I do not have any vinegar to clean this camera, I hope I remember to pick some up next time I am at the grocery store!!! 😂 Put it on your list!!! Love your Videos!!!! 🤗❤️👍🙋🏻♀️
