Welcome back! I just ran a toslink cable to the Helix using the same SMSL PO100 Pro, taking from M11 Plus USB-C output, loving the clarity and feels like I got a little more depth to the sound stage. Previously just using Atoto toslink output. Not all digital signals are the same. I had to return the Wiim Pro because the toslink input is generating noise from the Atoto output. I am now using a Tindie Toslink Automatic switcher to switch between headunit and M11. Plus a Mosconi Bluetooth with toslink output. Went a little crazy with 3 different sources. But I love that any guests/wife/kids can just connect to the Bluetooth with LDAC > toslink optical to the Helix easily.

I had an opportunity to pick up an Atoto s8 ultra BNIB for less than $100 because the installation was a bit overwhelming for the guy who was going to put it in his car so I got it. Haven't had an opportunity to play around with it yet. What are your thoughts, especially the toslink? Good? Bad?

Just curious why you were using the toslink input on the WiiM Pro?

@@CarAudioHorizons The helix only have one toslink input, I was thinking to have both Android HU (toslink) and M11 (via coaxial) working so I can switch with the Wiim app.

@@drrckhamilton It's clean, Atoto RCA output is garbage. But carefully listening sounds like the M11 just have better soundstage especially depth wise. Driving with road noise I pretty much can't tell the difference, but I often listen in the car in the garage. I am sure we all do. LOL.

Looking forward to the review....Great to have you back. I have a Tidal Hifi Plus subscription. And for Spotify... I use a modded version. ;) I guess that's not working on the Wiim??

I have used pretty much every music streaming service with the WiiM with no problems. Not sure what you mean by modded though.

@@Justdigit2 With the WiiM you can use Apps outside of it, as well as inside of it. I don’t have a modded version of Spotify so I couldn’t tell you. But the paid version works fine lol

Hi! Alguna vez probaste equalizar tu DAP? Me gusta la firma en V. Aun intento afinar mi propia EQ para que funcione para todos los géneros musicales. Si encuentras alguna EQ de 10 bandas me haces saber please.
