One note about the 10 year point. My previous company I thought the same thing. Im gonna do this for the next 10 years. When I realized I was gonna run out of cash before even being able to ship, that made it really hard to quit cuz I had this chip in my brain of "IM ALL IN FOR THE NEXT 10 FUCKING YEARS!" I later found out my only competitor was the son of one of the richest guys in the world. And even then I saw his product was flawed and I was so focused on making mine better than his. It was only when I stepped back for a while that I realized I should not run this business, and should pivot to the next idea in my list (the one im currently doing and have shipped). What Im trying to say is: Pivoting allowed me to ship and move on to the next stage of the game, and the 10 year mindset was holding me back. That mindset is cool, but it has a cost: The opportunity cost. Its not right or wrong. It just is. Best of luck on your business 👍
