I’ve been so pumped on this event since it was first announced. I’m not even a Harley rider. I just think it’s going to be awesome watching some of America’s best road racers banging bags (saddle bags, you delinquents) and dragging hard parts on 800lb machines that sure as hell aren’t supposed to be ridden like that.

@@tonypate9174 Not sure why you have "road racers" in quotes. Josh Herrin, Ben Bostrom, Hayden Gillim, Cory West, Travis Wyman. All racers of the road variety racing on a road course. This might be news to you but the term "road racing" also applies to closed circuits. Not just Isle of Man.

@@metalheartmachine Mine is a 2008 and from what I understand is that the frame is just an old design and causes the bike to feel "loose" they make stabilizers that fix it for about $200. Or in other words old frame and not very rigid mounting from motor to frame. It could also be the aerodynamics, the wind throws me around a bit and causes it to wiggle. But it doesn't feel like the bike would just fly out from under you. It is just scary.

@@metalheartmachine very flexy frames for all that weight. They are made of cheap steel. For how heavy those bikes are they should have a frame made of good chromoly steel.

@@drifterxl12 the issue is almost certainly the frame, those older frames weren’t stiff enough for that kind of power and handling. If they stiffened the frame I bet it would ride on rails with all those other mods

That means they lowered the front triple clamps to help with tight turns, only draw back to this is head shake at high speeds.

@@ryanweber9897 Isn't the wobble caused by the bike geometry? It not suited for such high speed. Also like BMW 1000XR, it handle great with corners, but at some high speed point it also wobble.

Josh Bad ass. Great to see a bagger hustle around a track. We have a cornering class here in Oregon on a go kart track that I scraped the floor boards of my bagger all the way around the corners. The other instructors just shake their heads and say I'm showing off. Nope just like to be on the edge. Keep the shiny side up.

@@RingTuned Harley needed some competition, for decades the only competition Harley really has had is Goldwing riders and that is a totally different style of motorcycle. I am glad Harley will have to push themselves, this style of racing is fantastic.

@@littlet-rex8839 I would say all V-twins because if they don't you will have people putting small or large block Chevy V8s in the motorcycles like the Boss Hoss Motorcycles or other 4 and 6 cylinder car engines modified to fit in the frames.

I bought a 48 sportster as my first street bike two years ago. A vicious bloodhound totalled it. I now own a 2019 FXLR and love it. Impressive riding on a 900lbs. bagger. You have my respect sir.

Watching an 800 lb bagger slam down the corkscrew would be AWESOME to see in person...wish we could be there live for this!! Guys have been modifying thier Road Glides more and more to be able to hit canyons and what not...its a LOT of fun. Its way better for my wife too, as she loves rolling the curves but is NEVER gonna get on the back of my Ducati, but will jump on the Streetglide all day long

most peple dont realise that most modern harleys only need a good suspension (with a 1-3" lift) and good brakes to really haul ass around bends. My stock 2020 low rider s handle suprisingly well for what it is, do need a fund to replace the ground down nfoot pegs and boots though

Josh was running Dunlop q3 or q4 sport bike tires thats the best tire tech that exists right now. Except full on hard slicks which is what I would think they would have went for. That said all that weight is really going to melt the rubber and boil the brake fluid.

I took my gf's rebel 500 out on the good curvy roads last week and it was a blast any a friend on his 2020 r1 had to put forth some effort to keep up but i love this i would be racing wheel chairs if theres an engine keep up the good work fuxker lol

I got the chance to ride a Fat Boy years ago after being on sport bikes and couldn't believe how soft it was. just watching the videos of you on the straits and the rear moving reminds me of how I felt on the bike especially in the corners, wallowing is what I told friends. did AMA not have a Harley class years ago? it needs to come back full bags! also cudos to the full access! a bunch of dude bagging each other!! lol.

I built a 2001 dyna FxdxT t-sport. It was lifted 2 inch in the front 4” in the back and I know it could have easily done track days if I could get tires worth a crap
