I built myself a greenhouse a year ago and now I need to build some shelves to hold all of the seedlings I want to put into it. These are basic shelves anyone with basic woodworking knowledge can build. I designed my greenhouse shelving to be movable and stackable so I can use it in many ways. See how I built my shelves and what they look like in the greenhouse. I grow flowers and vegetables in Saskatchewan, Canada. My cold hardiness zone is zone 4. I have an average of 110 frost free growing days each year. The past few years have seen our temperatures go as low as -37C (-34.6F) to as high as 37C (98.6F). Come see what and how I grow in these conditions.
Shelving cut list:
72x18x24 inch shelf made of 2x4 wood
2 - 72inch, 1 69inch, 2 -15inch, 4 24 inch
screws
optional: wire mesh or chicken wire 76x24 inches
48x10x24inch shelf made of 2x4 wood
2- 48inch, 2 -7inch, 2-10inch, 2or4 -24inch
screws
optional wire mesh or chicken wire 52x14inches
You will require basic tools such as a tape measure, saw, screwdriver, large stapler for installing mesh. This can be built with hand tools, but power tools will make the job easier.
