Nice job Michel. I find those little bandsaws to be just the right size and capacity for a hobby shop. Regards, Mark

Good job. Of course, there ARE advantages in painting it: 1) As another has mentioned, maybe some left over paint in a tin is just going to dry out and go to waste anyway; so a waste saver. 2) As you might seldom use it, it will be hidden away in some corner with some other junk; but when painted you can quickly see it, so a time saver. 3) When you're on your back under the trailer doing god knows what and taking a momentary rest wondering wtf am I doing under here at my age, you will look over to your jack and seeing a painted clean jack will put a smile on your face and quench any negative thoughts; in effect, another time saver.🙂🙂

Hi Michele ! Nice construction ! Congrats. But....somewhere in your workshop you will surely find partly filled cans of paint. Put this paint on the stand, otherwise it will dry out in the can. And that will be a waste of material ! 😂😊😅 Greetings !

Honestly, this is the one project I’m uncomfortable with. A stand to hold up weight when you’re under it shouldn’t be made of mystery metal. These pipes are not designed for structural use. They’re designed for a low burst strength, which is entirely different. The supports are long and can easily buckle. Yes, yes, it works. But if there is a side load, which is certainly possible on that not very flat or solid ground, it can collapse. I know people always look at these projects and say how wonderful they are, but even professionally made stands upon rare occasions.

That trailer could get bumped out oof that tiny slot. I would have made the slot 30 to 40mm deep or welded a 40mm flange on each side, making a very secure "slot" between the 2 flanges. And maybe even weld a nut on there so a pinch bolt can be tightened, clamping the slot on the trailer. Anyway, great video as always! 👍🙂
