I used to add palmoil toeards the end. I was made to believe the beans wont get soft on time if the palmoil is added from the beginning

Yes, is similar. I like to parboil my beans because I think it get rid of the preservatives used on the beans.😊

I agree with @helen. How long should it be cooked for in the final step? I've had very mixed results with oloyin, cooking it for almost 2 hours, even after soaking overnight. Thanks for the recipe. 8:18

When i was in school eventually everybody wants to eat my beans when i cook it some even beg me to teach or help them cook it, even wen i got married my husband compliment my beans but for sometime now my beans no even dey sweet me my husy was complaining Abt it bcos he does not joke with it i was thinking of searching ur methods of cooking beans wen i got this notification tanx and God bless

I make beans in the same way. Tend to use fresh tomatoes not puree, but I’ll try this puree next.

This is what I made this morning. But with bake beans. I watched it in your channel last year. Bake beans with panchanta, red, yellow, and green bell pepper, carrot, onions, and smoked paprika. My kids loved that beans. Thanks sisi ❤😊

Please I need your help I bought a particular beans some time ago, and I noticed these beans had been mixed, which takes time to soften. Please, I would like to know what I can do about it cause it takes forever to soften, and in the end it never soft completely. I force myself to eat it like that, still have raw once at home.

Cook with potash (aka akawun). Market women will have it. I also boil my beans with the onions added immediately
