These concepts are really nice. My favorite is the 757 concept you made a month ago. Airbus and Boeing can continue to work on the 737/A321 frames but they just won’t be able replace the 757. I genuinely think this aircraft could create its own market With how much more fuel efficient this aircraft could be, the range could be, lets say, 4,000+ NM, and it could be like the Boeing 757, but with the ability to land at regional airports, along with lets say, a slightly increased capacity, this aircraft could potentially hold up to 200 passengers, that is something with extreme potential to be huge

I think the tail wings don't produce enough vortex or turbulent air to make a difference. I think most of the turbulent air comes off the main wings and the winglets help to disperse it more quickly and efficiently so other planes don't have to wait an hour for it to calm down before they can land. They would look cool for the vertical stabilizer but I don't think they would serve much of a purpose othe than the looks. I'm not a designer or anything and all that is just my opinion on the matter. Good video either way though so I say 👏👏👏👏👏

One more thing, the 727's APU ( aux power unit) was located in right wheel well with the turbine exhaust exiting at the top of the right wing root. Since the center engine has been removed I would relocate the apu to the tail end of the fuselage thus greatly quieting mid cabin noise from the apu exhaust.

As a retired mechanic for United Airlines I have many fond memories of working on 727's including some not so fond ones in Hot and freezing weather. have worked on the first 727 (N7001) through the 200 series. enough about my experiences one thing different that I would change is smoothing out the shape of the corner edges of where window #1 merges in to #2 (sliding window) because it created a lot of noise and wind resistance to bring it up to a modern front end. That was the reason Boeing smoothed the same windows on the 767 and 757. if you have access to the Introduction Description and Operation of the 757, 767 that explanation can be found there. cheers !

Hmmmmm… I liked the last rendition in silver black and yellow… how about removing scimitars and replacing them with a swept back winglet? I fancy the idea of a longer wing, means more space for more fuel thereby increasing range…maybe you probably should have considered the landing gear that you left alone and made the plane more…versatile? Then those engines, hmmmm.a couple of smaller sized Gen-Xs?? The probably make it more slender (the fuselage) so as to reduce weight then the only thing is to add new technology to increase cabin space and voila! THE 727-Gen X! In that rendition of yours, if I had the money I’d have it made
@LGTheOneFreeMan

1:40 I realize it's a joke, but Boeing could probably give a shit. In fact, what you're doing is probably more productive than anything they've done in recent years. This is what happens when engineers defer to the corporate guys from McDonnell Douglas. Boeing got a brain tumor after that merger. Also deleting the #2 engine would significantly shift the center of gravity on this airliner. I'm not sure what engineering would have to go into it, maybe turn the tailcone into a typical APU exhaust and location? These and DC-9s (later were MD-80s) had airstairs out of the tail that were used in boarding at airports without jetways. The CG was just barely forward of the main gears with that tail weight from the engines, so often the crew liked to drop the airstairs regardless of whether or not anyone was boarding there kind of like a kickstand. Once everyone was boarded and luggage and cargo tossed in evenly it was a non-issue.

I thought a 727 Max type of airplane would have been a better choice against the Airbus A320/321 Neo using the 737 Max engine rather than slapping it on the 737 frame and going from there. *Maybe* just *Maybe* Boeing would have avoided the problems 737 MAX ended up with.

Just in case you did not know why there was a third engine. It was because it was required to fly over the ocean the thinking was if you lost one engine you still had two to get you to the closest airfield for an emergency landing. But with more the advent of powerful engines there is no need for a third engine, this is one reason the 747 is no longer being produced, simply because you do not need 4 engines any more. Two engines on a 767, 777, and the 787 are powerful enough that they can still fly on just one engine. The extra engine(Past Two Engines) was simply a backup so to speak.
