White color looks strict, casual, elegant and at the same time seductive. Every woman should have such a blouse in her wardrobe. It will go with everything, will look good with both skirts and trousers, and at the same time will show a joyful attitude to work, confidence and neatness.
A white blouse never goes out of style. This is the best option when you don’t know what the coming day has in store.
A nice white blouse can be made from a men's shirt. To do this, you need to remove individual parts. The style that I will show can be made from a shirt that fits in size or larger.
1) The first thing to do is cut off the sleeves and collar. Now you can see what you're dealing with. At this stage, you need to try the shirt on yourself and see if the length and width need to be changed. Usually men's shirts are long.
2) I cut off the excess fabric not from the bottom, but from the top, and removed the yoke, thereby reducing the depth of the armhole.
3) I cut out a V-shaped neckline and sewed the shoulder seams.
4) I removed 2 centimeters from the side seams at the top. If the shirt is wide, then it needs to be sewn in on the sides.
5) It is advisable to make darts on the shelf. To do this, we put the blouse on ourselves and look at where the fabric puffs up the most, pinch the extra fold, and mark the dart.
6) The neckline and armhole can be processed in different ways - sew on a facing or make a roll. The easiest way is to overcast the edges and turn them in 0.5 cm, then stitch.
I have a stretch shirt and this option works great.
7) Decorative element - bows, which were tied on the shoulders of the blouse. You don’t have to take exactly the same fabric; stitching, lace or other openwork fabric will look great.
You can simply tie ribbons.
There is no trace left of the men's style, only the fastener on the other side. It could be remade, but I don’t see the point, it doesn’t matter.
All the best!
Негізгі бет I spied it at a fashion show. I repurposed all my husband's old shirts and couldn't be happier
